It appears that Xiaomi will be able to dethrone Samsung from its numero uno position in the country in the coming months. According to a recent report, Xiaomi managed to sell more than 4 million smartphones during a period of 30 days in India. If this wasn’t enough, Xiaomi is now prepping up to introduce selfie-centric phones in the country.

Your best self is within you! Coming your way is a brand new series on November 2! RT if you're ready to see your best self #YourBestSelfie pic.twitter.com/Jkkyp7Yl64

The above invitation that carries a hashtag #YourBestSelf does not reveal the name of the smartphone that Xiaomi will be launching on Nov. 2 in New Delhi, India. However, it certainly confirms “a new series is coming.” It appears that the new smartphone that will be unveiled on Nov. 2 will be coming with front-facing LED flash for shooting high quality selfies in dim-light conditions.

Xiaomi began the year 2017 in India with the launch of Redmi Note 4 and Redmi 4 smartphones. Later on, it had also released other phones like Mi Max 2, Mi A1 Android One phone and Mi MIX 2 flagship phone. It seems the company is all set to end the year with remarkable sales record by releasing the new series of selfie-centric phones.

In China, Xiaomi is likely to soon unveil the Redmi 5 Plus budget phone with full screen design before Nov. 11. In December, it is expected to launch the Redmi Note 5 smartphone. The Chinese manufacturer is unlikely to launch these phones on Nov. 2 as it follows a pattern of unveiling the new Redmi and Redmi Note series phones in China before introducing them in India.

OPPO and Vivo smartphone brands are aggressively selling selfie-focused smartphones in India. Also, smartphones from these brands are easily available offline. Xiaomi has recently started selling its phones through offline stores in India and with the upcoming selfie series of smartphone, the company seems to be getting ready to rival with OPPO and Vivo.
