Gionee’s upcoming smartphone — Gionee M7 Plus, which is believed to be the company’s flagship smartphone, has been a part of lots of leaks and rumours. Now, the smartphone has been certified by TENAA, signalling that the device will soon get launched.
The TENAA certification listing reveals the phone’s design, which confirms smartphone’s design same as previously leaked. The phone has a metallic build and the back, there is a leather back, giving a unique look compared to traditional smartphones.
On the back side, there is a dual camera setup and just below the camera module, the device packs a fingerprint sensor. The smartphone will feature a full-screen display with minimum bezels on the side. While the listing does not reveal the phone’s specifications, previous leaks from AnTuTu and GFXBench listings have given us insights into the smartphone’s specifications.
The Gionee M7 Plus is expected to feature a 6.43-inch FullView display with screen resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels, 18:9 aspect ratio and a 2.5D curved glass on top. Under the hood, the device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor, coupled with 6GB RAM and 64GB internal storage.
As of the camera, it is said that the device will come with two 16-megapixel lenses at the back and an 8-megapixel shooter on the front. The phone will be running Android 7.1 Nougat based company’s own Amigo OS 5.0. Currently, the battery capacity of the smartphone is not yet known.
Based on the leaked specifications, the Gionee M7 Plus is expected to arrive as a mid-range smartphone and thus, will carry an affordable price tag. However, there are no additional details available at this point.
While the company has not yet announced the official launch date for the smartphone, it is expected to be unveiled on November 26th in China as Gionee is holding a launch event on that date. The company is expected to launch eight smartphones with a neraly bezel-less display during the event.
