Leaker @Rquandt revealed in a tweet that the Redmi 5 will launch globally in the second half of February. He also adds that the phone will have support for LTE Band 20. The Chinese model supports FDD LTE bands 1, 3, 5, 7, and 8.

The Redmi 5 is Xiaomi’s cheapest phone with an 18:9 display. The screen is 5.7” with a 1440 x 720 resolution and 450 nits of brightness.

Under the hood is a Snapdragon 450 mobile platform, 2GB/3GB of RAM, and 16GB/32GB of storage. There is also a 3300mAh battery for juice.
