HMD Global had introduced the Nokia 7 smartphone in China in October last year. Since then it has been exclusively available in China. The 4 GB and 6 GB RAM variants of the Nokia 7 were respectively priced at 2,499 Yuan (~$388) and 2,699 Yuan (~$419) at launch. However, today both the variants are available with a massive discount of 900 Yuan (~$140) on Jingdong.

With 900 Yuan (~$140) price cut, the Nokia 7 variant with 4 GB RAM + 64 GB RAM is now available for 1,599 Yuan (~$248) and the higher model featuring 6 GB RAM + 64 GB RAM is listed on the retailer site with a pricing of 1,799 Yuan (~$280). There is no confirmation on whether it is a limited period offer or a permanent price cut.

Nokia 7 is HMD Global’s first smartphone to arrive with glass chassis. Also, it is the first handset from the company to feature the Snapdragon 630 which is now also available on the newly unveiled Nokia 6 (2018) smartphone. The 32 GB and 64 GB Nokia 6 (2018) are respectively priced at 1,499 Yuan and 1,699 Yuan in China. It indicates that the base model of the Nokia 7 is now selling with a cheaper price tag than the highest configuration variant of the Nokia 6 (2018).

Nokia 7 comes with a 5.2-inch display that supports full HD resolution. It is fueled by a 3,000mAh battery that supports Quick Charge 3.0. The rear panel of the Nokia 7 has Car Zeiss branded 16-megapixel camera whereas it is fitted with a 84-degree wide-angle selfie camera of 8-megapixel. The handset comes preinstalled with Android Nougat. The Finnish firm has rolled out Android 8.0 Oreo update for Nokia 7 users earlier this week. Rumors are rife that the company may launch the Nokia 7 smartphone in India by the end of this month.
