Aside from featuring excellent waterproof, dust-proof and shatter-resistant performance, the Ulefone Armor 2 can also survive at extreme temperatures with a rather wide working temperature range between -40°C to a maximum of 80°C. Previously, we shaw a video putting the Armor 2 in a pan filled with boiling water and it’s fairly reasonable that today we have a new one in which the Armor 2 was subjected to a rather low temperature.
As shown in the video, the Armor 2 along with two rivals, iPhone 7 and Oneplus 5, is put in the freezer with the temperature set to as low as -200 centigrade. Just 5 minutes later, you can see that the iPhone 7 has been turned off, the display on the Oneplus 5 fails to respond to tap, and the Armor 2 turns out to work pretty well. Ulefone attributes this to the housing made of flexible TPU, with some parts in glass fiber reinforced polycarbonate material and metal. So, the Armor 2 can withstand extreme temperatures in which other smartphones would probably fail.
On top of that, the device can also offer some high-end features like the powerful Helio P25 octa-core SoC coupled with 6GB of RAM, 64GB of internal storage expandable up to 256GB, 16MP rear camera, 13MP selfie shooter, and 4700mAh battery with 9V/2A fast charge support. Also, there is a fingerprint scanner below the 5″ FHD display (441ppi), extensive 27 frequency bands under 6 network types, handy physical buttons on the sides, and Android 7 Nougat.
Currently, the Armor 2 is available for a special price of $239.99. If you prefer a more affordable rugged device, you can grab the newly released Ulefone Armor 2S featuring IP68 rating, 13MP rear camera, 4700mAh big battery, extensive frequency bands, front fingerprint scanner, and four color variants for merely $159.99.
