Apparently, AllCall aren’t done with comparing the upcoming AllCall MIX2 to the popular Elephone S8 that was released several months ago. So, today they’re comparing the specs between the two devices. From what we know so far, the AllCall MIX2 will feature a 5.99″ full screen 2.0 along with the wireless charging, Helio P23 SoC, 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.
The AllCall MIX2 got much attention thanks to its wireless fast charging support. The company wanted to take a step forward and offer modern specs to its new flagship. Having an obvious advantage over wired charging, the user no longer needs to plug and unplug cables. What’s more, you can protect the charging port from damage. With 10W fast charging you can say goodbye to the old, disappointing slow fast charging solutions.
Appearance and design
As it can crearly be seen in the photos, it’s fairly apparent that compared to the Elephone S8, the MIX 2 with rather thin bottom bezels has a higher screen-to- body ratio, and offers a more immersive and purer visual experience as in order to reduce the bottom bezel, the fingerprint sensor is placed on the back. And though both phones sport a 6″ display, thanks to the slim borders and 18:9 aspect ratio, the AllCall MIX2 has a smaller footprint and is easier to hold.
On the camera front, the MIX2 comes fitted with a HD camera setup made of a 16.0-megapixel rear sensor with f/2.0 big aperture and two LED flashes which greatly increase the light even in the dark environment, supplemented with ultra fast PDAF function, for clear and vivid pictures anytime. On the front side, the camera is placed on the bottom right corner just like the XiaoMi Mix 2 and sports an 8MP sensor with optimized beautification function. Elephone S8 has a 21MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera as well along with beautification function. Both phones’ performance is similar in this field.
In the core configuration, Elephone comes with the Helio X25 10-core SoC while the AllCall MIX2 comes with the latest Helio P23 SoC that supports fast LPDDR4X RAM and high resolution 2K display. The Helio P23 sports a 16nm manufacturing process and features eight Cortex A-53 cores clocked to up to 2.5GHz along with Mali-G71MP2 GPU. In the memory stand, Elephone comes with 4GB RAM and 64 GB of storage while the AllCall comes with 6GB of RAM and either 64GB or 128GB of storage. Definitely, the MIX2 has an advantage here. Lastly, the MIX2 features a 3500mAh battery with PE+ 9V/1.67A fast charge support while the S8 sports a 4000mAh battery with PE+ quick charge.
Ending with the price, the Elephone S8 costs $229 even after many months on the market while the AllCall MIX2 is expected to come under $200. More information about the upcoming AllCall MIX2 can be found on their official website.
