LineageOS landing on UMIDIGI devices soon

by Dimitris Economou 0

LineageOS is the continuation of Cyanogenmod and provides the most popular free and open-source operating system for Android. In a recent announcement, the Smart ROM Team from Russia, revealed that it will provide UMIDIGI with unofficial ROMs, covering phone versions from UMIDIGI S2 Lite to UMIDIGI One, UMIDIGI Z2 and more to follow.

Of course, the company warns users that flashing unofficial ROMs on a device is risky and should be done at their own risk since data loss can occur as well as bricking a device. Thus, UMIDIGI is not responsible for any resulting problems. At the same time, UMIDIGI shows confidence in their own official package and is strongly determined to improve their user experience in 2018.

Anyway, it undoubtedly is good news for Android enthusiasts. In case the official ROM doesn’t satisfy your needs for whatever reason, you now have the choice to go with LineageOS that is an almost pure Android OS with lots of customization options and root access. Again, any flashing should be done with extreme caution. Learn more about UMIDIGI on their official website.

About Lineage
LineageOS grows out of CyanogenMod(CM), and the latter is the world’s largest third-party compilation team for Android. CyanogenMod’s core team members along with the founding father Steve Kondik are retained in LineageOS. To some extent, LineageOS is the continuation of the CM.
