UMIDIGI has transformed from a budget device company to a multilateral one that produces quality smartphones in almost all available categories. Their latest flagship duo, UMIDIGI Z2 and Z2 Pro, are a perfect example of how you can bring cutting-edge features at a competitive price tag.
In terms of design, both models will feature the gradient effect brought to the market by Huawei with its P20 Series. It’s not easy to produce since it is infused between a double-sided glass, something with big technical difficulty. Also, the glass material has to be super transparent to allow the full effect to be perfectly visible.
As for the rest of the specs, the Pro version comes with the Helio P60 SoC that supports AI and although it may not be as powerful as the top chips from other vendors, it can be safely considered a flagship SoC. On the other hand, the Z2 comes with the mid-range SoC Helio P23. The good thing about the latest MediaTek SoCs is that they support a wide array of network bands for worldwide use. Both of them feature 16MP/8MP dual camera setups on the front and back, NFC, and Android 8.1 Oreo. Also, the Pro features wireless charging that combined with the -yet to be announced- Q1 wireless charger will fill up the battery in 100 minutes.
The Z2 Series features a great overall design and hardware combination, although not capable of going head-to-head with the top flagships like the Galaxy S9 and iPhone X. The presale will begin soon, so stay tuned if you are interested in either of them. To check out the differences between the two of them, visit the dedicated page here.
