Device teardowns have been quite popular for some years now with iFixit being the top destination for such procedures. To that direction, UMIDIGI released a teardown video of their recently announced flagships, Z2 and Z2 Pro showing the internals and the build quality.
Given that it is not a waterproof device, the backplate disassembly of the UMIDIGI Z2 Pro is straightforward. Sealant has been applied to the internals of the glass gradient colorful back, but with the help of tools from iFixit, heating is not necessary. Below you can see detailed photos of the disassembly including the motherboard with Helio P60 SoC, RAM, battery, storage, as well as the dual camera setup and an NFC/wireless charging combo. The Z2 Pro is a solid improvement over its predecessor Z Pro thus there is a totally different design between the two devices.
The Z2 Pro comes with a 6.2″ FHD+ 18:9 full-screen while the Helio P60 SoC is paired with 6GB of RAM and up to 128GB of internal storage. There is a real dual rear camera 16MP/8MP (some manufacturers just put a dummy sensor to fake dual cameras) as well as a 3650mAh battery. Also, there is an NFC and wireless charging combo, which supports function NFC and 15W fast wireless charging simultaneously. To use the fast wireless charging capability, UMIDIGI will soon announce the fast wireless charging pad, Q1, which will offer 15W charging power for any Qi-enabled devices and will allow the Z2 Pro to be fully charged within 100 minutes. Full specifications can be found on their official site.
