Xiaomi chose not to announce the Redmi 6 Pro alongside the recently unveiled Redmi 6 and 6A smartphones. The Redmi 6 and 6A have arrived with a trendy elongated design as they are fitted with 18:9 aspect ratio display. However, the Redmi 6 Pro has a different appeal as it features a notched display. The 6 Pro will be unleashed in China in multiple colors such as Rose Gold, Sand Gold, Lake Blue, Black and Flame Red. The Rose Gold model has recently appeared in live images. Today, Xiaomi has shared amazing looking photos of the blue version of the Redmi 6 Pro.

The design of the metallic rear panel of the Redmi 6 Pro is identical to the Redmi Note 5. A vertical dual camera setup and a fingerprint reader are present on the backside of the smartphone.

The edges of the Redmi 6 Pro features volume rocker, power key, SIM tray, microUSB 2.0 port and external speakers. The top edge of the phone is not visible in these images. It could be housing a 3.5mm audio jack as well as an IR blaster which is not available on the Redmi 6 and Redmi 6A  smartphones.

The Redmi 6 Pro appears to be sporting a slim profile. Its TENAA listing has revealed that it measures 149.33 x 71.68 x 7.5mm. The front is mainly occupied with a display that offers a bigger screen space thanks to the notched design. The chin of the device is a bit thick. For people who hate the notch, Xiaomi has confirmed that it will be providing a feature on the Redmi 6 Pro that will allow its users to disable the notch.
