Intel’s Goldmont Plus 14nm microarchitecture was introduced back in December last year but until now, only a few manufacturers have released models with Gemini Lake CPUs. One of them is Chuwi that has already announced the Mini PC GBox with Intel N4100 (Gemini Lake) inside and now a new device is coming, the Chuwi LapBook SE.
The LapBook SE features the N4100 accompanied by Intel Graphics 600 that sports 12 EUs with a 700MHz boost frequency while the processor has 4 cores and 4 threads and reaches 2.4GHz at turbo boost. The N4100 brings over 30% performance improvement over Apollo Lake chips.
As far as the rest of the specs, the LapBook could be placed in the ultrabook category as it is very thin and light and comes with a 13.3″ IPS fully laminated display with narrow bezels and an aluminum body. In addition, it will feature a backlit keyboard and looks beautiful on the press render provided by the company.
It should be perfect for carrying around but we still don’t know how much RAM and storage it will carry. What would be ideal for you? More information will be made available soon and we hope it comes at a great price too but until then, you can grab the Hi9 Air Android tablet with Oreo and LTE support that is 20% off on Gearbest or the GBox Mini PC that sells on Chuwi’s Aliexpress Store.
