The Cubot P20 was leaked online about 3 months ago but since then no word on the development progress. That’s until today that newer information is available together with real photos of the device. So, the first 19:9 notch screen device from Cubot seams to be pretty close to official release as photos of the real device emerged. But let’s see what it hides under the hood.
Cubot P20 Specs
- 6.18″ FHD+ 19:9 ratio notch screen
- Dual rear camera: 20.0MP + 2.0MP
- Front Camera: 13.0MP with Smart Beauty
- 4000mAh large capacity battery
- 8.5mm Ultra-thin body
- Original Android 8.0
- MT6750T, Octa-Core, 1.5GHz CPU
- 4GB/64GB, 128GB expandable via microSD
As you can see, the P20 resembles the iPhone X as it comes with a notch on top that hosts the camera as well as the proximity and ambient light sensor. It is worth mentioning that the 6.18″ is a FHD+ panel resulting in a 403ppi. n terms of hardware configuration, the device is placed in the lower mid-range category with the MT6750T accompanied by 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage being enough for almost every user. The combination of the low consumption SoC and Android Oreo that has an excellent power management should give it a smooth operation and good battery performance if you throw the 4000mAh battery in the equation.
As far as optics are concerned, there is a dual camera on the back with 20MP/2MP sensor combo placed vertically on the top left corner. The main sensor comes from Samsung and is the same used in Cubot Power. The selfie shooter is a 13MP one with intelligent beauty enabled.
The device is expected to hit the market and unlike the $1K iPhone that established the notch fashion, it will cost around $130. Stay tuned for more information or visit the official product page.
