To notch or not to notch? Cubot has you covered with P20 and X18 Plus

With the launch of the iPhone X, the notch display instantly became a trend in the smartphone industry. It also became an issue of controversy between users as some hate it and some love it. To address that controversy, Cubot released two devices with the same specs apart from the display. WEe are talking about the Cubot P20 and X18 Plus. The former sports a notch display while the latter doesn’t.

As you can see in the chart just above, the 2 devices are identical and the only difference is the display size as the P20 uses a 6.18″ 19:9 notch screen with a resolution of 2246 x 1080 and the X18 Plus sports a 5.99″ 18:9 full screen with resolution of 2160 x 1080. Although the screens are not the same , they have the same ppi and their performance is excellent.

Cubot P20

The MT6750T is a well known SoC that is perfectly balanced between performance and power consumption and the 4GB/64GB memory combo makes sure that both phones are fluid and smooth. Both devices feature a 20MP/2MP rear dual camera while the front shooter is a 13MP one. Lastly, the 4000mAh battery combined with Android 8.1 make sure that it will take you through the day without an intermediate charge.

Cubot X18 Plus
