As we thought that UMIDIGI was done with new devices for this year, the company surprised us today with the announcement of another one! Well, this is not an entirely new model but a special version of the UMIDIGI Z2 that was released last month.
The differences between them are not many but enough to make the UMIDIGI Z2 Special Edition even more affordable than its sibling. The UMIDIGI Z2 Special Edition is equipped with Helio P23 SoC too but instead of 6GB of RAM, it comes with 4GB RAM to cut down on cost a little. Also, instead of the S5K3P8 16MP rear main sensor, it sports the 16MP S5K2P7 with f/1.7 big aperture and an 8MP S5K4H7 secondary one. Still a pretty powerful duo that should offer pleasing photos. The rest remain the same with the device sporting a total of 36 bands, 7 internet modes and the latest stock Android 8.1 out of the box.
Besides the tech specs, the Special Edition has some design differences too. So, instead of the glossy frame of the original Z2, it comes with a matte one and brings a new, beautiful color called Fantastic. Watch the video below to check it out. To our opinion, the new color is even more beautiful than the previous.
The company states that it would be the most affordable Helio P23 phone out there, so stay tuned for further information soon. Also, you can take part in the Global Recruitment activity where 10 users will get a device for free to test and help the company make further improvements. You can participate here.
