Elephone Soldier is the new entry to the rugged smartphone market and it comes from a manufacturer that isn’t a new-comer to the market, so expectations are a bit higher. The device is already on presale since September 14th with a $25 discount that brings the price down to $179.99. You can see the promotion here.
As you can see in the video, there’s nothing much to talk about for the box, as it has all the typical accessories found on any smartphone nowadays like the SIM tray ejector, charger, charging cable, and instructions. But the device itself is imposing. It is huge and armed like a tank. On the back, there is an SOS button, an analog compass, and the 21MP Sony camera.
The rest of the specs include a 5.5″ 2K LCD display, Helio X25 deca-core SoC along with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, and 5000mAh battery. Also, there is a 16MP front shooter featuring a Samsung sensor, it supports 5V/2A fast charging, can host 2 SIM cards, and runs on Android 8 Oreo. Of course, it comes with IP68 certification, as any rugged phone that respects itself.
