It’s just a few hours before Xiaomi officially takes the wraps off its latest flagship smartphone — Xiaomi Mi 9. Just hours before the phone’s official launch, Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun has shared yet another feature related to the smartphone.

He has confirmed that the Mi 9 comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection on top of the display, which is claimed to have 50 percent better performance compared to the fifth-generation Gorilla Glass. As per the reports from Corning’s lab, the Gorilla Glass 6 can withstand 15 consecutive drops on average from a height of one meter on a rough surface.
