Just a few months after launching the Oppo Reno smartphone series, the company recently launched the Oppo Reno2 series in the Indian market. Now, the company is all set to launch the same smartphone series in China on 10th September.

While the Reno2 series phones will get launched in China next week, Oppo’s Vice President Shen Yiren has revealed that the company is gearing up to launch yet another smartphone, which will feature a 90Hz display.

However, he has confirmed that the 90Hz display smartphone is not the Oppo Reno2 and will be a new smartphone. The phone is expected to get launched in the second half of this month, after the launch of Reno2 lineup in China.

However, no more details about this smartphone have been revealed so far. Another report claims that the company will completely get rid of the 60Hz screen from its flagship smartphones in a couple of years.

Since the Oppo Reno2 smartphone has already been launched in India, it’s full specifications is known. It features a 6.55-inch Full HD+ AMOLED Panoramic display with a 20:9 aspect ratio and 93.1 percent screen-to-body ratio. The phone also comes with an under-display fingerprint sensor for added security.

The phone’s front panel is protected by a layer of Gorilla Glass 6, while the back panel is being protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. Under the hood, the device will be powered by the Snapdragon 730G octa-core processor.

The smartphone packs 8GB RAM and comes with 256GB internal storage. Focusing on the gaming side, the company will be offering anti-cheat extensions, 25% better graphic processing, HDR10 Gaming support, and Game Assistant, among others.

The device is equipped with a selfie camera of 16-megapixel and houses a quad-camera setup on the back. It consists of a 48-megapixel sensor, an 8-megapixel lens, a 13-megapixel sensor, and a 2-megapixel lens. Powered by a 4,000mAh battery, the phone comes with 20W VOOC 3.0 fast-charging support.
