The Mi MIX series is one of the most anticipated devices of the second half of the year. This year’s model is expected to launch as the Mi MIX 4 and unconfirmed reports say it will be arriving this month, nearly two months earlier than the Mi MIX 3.
According to the Russian blog Xiaomishka, Chinese sources disclosed to them that the Mi MIX 4 will be announced on Tuesday, September 24, in Shanghai. The report says the phone is actually supposed to be announced earlier but the date was pushed forward due to several reasons including the launch of Huawei’s Mate 30 series on September 19.
The Mi MIX 4 is not the only product Xiaomi will unveil on that day. It has also been reported that it will announce MIUI 11, the Mi 9 5G/Mi 9S, and other unnamed products.
The Mi MIX 4 will be the first smartphone to feature Samsung’s 108MP ISOCELL Bright HMX sensor. It will be paired with a 16MP ultrawide angle lens and a 12MP periscope lens for a triple rear camera setup said the source.
Other rumored features of the phone include reverse wireless charging, up to 12GB of RAM, and a 5G version. It will also have a Snapdragon 855 Plus processor, a 4500mAh battery, UFS 3.0 storage, and run MIUI 11 based on Android 10 out of the box.
The Mi MIX 4 is already under review as one user on Weibo was spotted to have made a post with the device.
The design of the Mi MIX 4 is still unknown and even its name, since a court ruling says Xiaomi can’t use the MIX name as a different company already trademarked it years before.
