Xiaomi announced the all new MIUI custom Android skin alongside the Xiaomi Mi 9 Pro 5G and Mi MIX Alpha smartphones yesterday in China. The company also provided an extensive list of smartphones that will be upgraded to MIUI 11. The list did not include the highly popular Poco F1 smartphone from last year. Poco fans were annoyed to see the Poco F1 not mentioned in the list. Today, Head of Pocophone Global Alvin Tse took to Twitter to confirm that the Poco F1 will be receiving the MIUI 11 update.

The reason why Poco F1 (aka Pocophone F1 in global markets) was not included in the list is because Poco F1 was not released in China. Tse said that the MIUI 11 will come to Poco F1 when it rolls out globally. He added that the MIUI 11 stable edition will be released in China in mid-October. He stated that the its global edition will be “a bit behind but not too far.”
