Earlier this year, Samsung unveiled its first foldable smartphone which is called the Galaxy Fold. Unfortunately, the company had to delay its original date of commercial availability due to display issues but that has now been fixed and the unique handset is available for purchase in several countries.
Even though Samsung has reiterated the design of Galaxy Fold to prolong its life, the fact cannot be denied that its display is made out of soft plastic and is still susceptible to going bad if poked by a sharp object intentionally or accidentally.
Samsung has revealed that the display replacement cost of the Galaxy Fold costs a whopping $599. While not every device owner would require to get the display on their handset replaced, this steep cost might drive away potential buyers.

To lure in customers, Samsung has announced that it will replace the display of the Galaxy Fold for just $149 for the units that are purchased before the 31st of December, 2019. Not only is this cost a lot more affordable, but it is also significantly less in comparison to some of the other flagships from Samsung, Apple or even OnePlus which is known for aggressively priced smartphones and their replacement parts.
