Realme has officially made Yang Zi the Global Spokesperson for the company, according to a company announcement made yesterday (2nd January 2020).
The official announcement carried a small message alongside it which welcomed Yang Zi. Furthermore, the Realme announcement also mentioned the company’s belief of always being innovative and brave with a small acknowledgment of its upcoming 5G smartphones.
Yang Zi is a celebrated movie film actress and pop idol singer popular in mainland China, which is also the smartphone manufacturer’s home country. The successful performer being a spokesperson will now endorse the company on a worldwide scale. Meaning, she will be seen promoting the brand in foreign countries apart from China as well.

The announcement also arrived with a poster which included Yang Zi alongside Realme X50 5G smartphone. The smartphone is the company’s first 5G networking capable handset and is equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 765G SoC. It is a 5G processor carrying a built-in X52 5G Modem that supports SA and NSA dual mode 5G. For gaming, the device sports an Adreno 620 GPU.
Realme’s X50 5G is also expected to bring a higher refresh rate display panel and is confirmed to have a quad camera setup on the rear. Notably, the specifications indicate that the Realme smartphone will be a direct competitor to Xiaomi subsidiary’s Redmi K30 5G, which is also a 5G capable smartphone with the Snapdragon 765G.
