Xiaomi-backed Redmi is all set to launch its new Redmi 10X series smartphones in China on 26th May and ahead of the launch, the company has confirmed that the devices will come powered by the newly announced MediaTek Dimensity 820 SoC.

Recently, the company has also shared AnTuTu benchmark score of the upcoming smartphone, which managed to score an impressive 406,664 points. With such score, it has easily surpassed the score from its rival Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 765G SoC.

A screenshot of comparing AnTuTu benchmark scores of Dimensity 820 SoC and Snapdragon 765G SoC has surfaced online which shows the former scoring 406,664 points while the later managed to score 325,155 points.

When compared, it seems that the Dimensity 820 is surpassing its Snapdragon counterpart in every segment, be it CPU, GPU, Memory or User Experience (UX).

Coming to the chipset’s specifications, the MediaTek Dimensity 820 offers four high-performance Arm Cortex-A76 cores at 2.6GHz and four Arm Cortex-A74 cores at 2.0GHz. It is claimed to deliver superb performance and responsiveness, among its incredible AI, gaming and photography experiences.

It supports global sub-6GHz 5G networks in Asia, North America, and Europe. Thanks to Imagiq 5.0 ISP, it supports up to four cameras with sensors size as high as 80 megapixels and also comes with support for Multiframe 4K video HDR and is optimized for gaming.

On the other hand, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G is a 7nm chipset that includes one Kryo 475 Prime (Cortex-A76) CPU working at 2.4GHz, one Kryo 475 Gold (Cortex-A76) CPU clocking at 2.2GHz and six Kryo 475 Silver (Cortex-A55) working at 1.8GHz.

It is integrated with X52 5G modem and supports sub-6GHz and mmWave. The chipset comes with Spectra 355 ISP to support single camera of up to 192-megapixel and single camera of 36-megapixel with zero shutter lag and multi-frame noise reduction. It also comes with 5th generation AI engine on SD765G offer 5.5TOPs of computing power.
