Honor Play series is a popular one and the reason isn’t far from the fact that the models come with a rich blend of decent design/hardware and affordable pricing. The Honor Play 4T is said to be the last 4G model and soon, the coming will go official with the Play 4 Pro which should usher in 5G connectivity on the series.Honor Play 4 Pro

We have now laid our eyes on the image of the device for the first time, thanks to a leakster on China’s Weibo. The leaked image shows the rear aspect of the device with the camera setup visible. From the leaked image, we can confirm the Honor Play 4 Pro will pack a dual-camera setup. The cameras and LED flash are housed in a rectangular housing. Apart from the camera and flash, there is also a third sensor which looks like a LiDAR sensor. The iPad Pro is one model which features a LiDAR sensor.

LiDAR, short for light detection and ranging, is a remote sensing technology that uses light in the form of a pulsed laser to measure ranges (distances) to a target. A LiDAR sensor fires off beams of laser light and then measures how long it takes for the light to return to the sensor.Honor Play 4 Pro

The applicability of the sensor on the Play 4 Pro is not known but there are speculations that the sensor will power 3D mapping used in Augmented Reality (AR) applications. The sensor is also believed to be just an infrared temperature measurement sensor.

The Honor Play 4 Pro will pack a dual AI-camera setup consisting of a 40MP main camera. The rear camera has a rear camera bump and the device will have a curved body and edges at the rear aspect.

The device is expected to be launched on June 3 and we hope to get more details when that happens.
