The Xiaomi Mi Band 5 is scheduled to go official on June 11. Before the launch, the Chinese firm has been confirming some of the key features of the fitness tracker. Today, the company revealed the 7 new upgraded features that will be made available on the Mi Band 5.

The poster states that the Xiaomi Mi Band 5 has an extra-large dynamic display. The predecessor Mi Band 4 that debuted in June 2019 came with a 0.95-inch display. Rumors surrounding the Mi Band 5 have revealed that it has a 1.2-inch OLED screen.

The poster mentions that the Mi Band 5 is equipped professional sensors. However, it has specifically revealed the details of the sensors. It is speculated to arrive with an enhanced SpO2 sensor. Also, it is expected to come with a dedicated sensor for measuring stress and breathing activity of the user. The fitness tracker will offer users with up to 11 professional sports mode. The device will come equipped with a magnetic charging feature.

Xiaomi Mi Band 5 features

As previous reports have claimed, there will be support for making payments through the NFC feature on the Mi Band 5. The Chinese firm will be also bringing the Mi Band 5 to global markets later. Rumors surrounding the global model have revealed that the fitness tracker will support Google Pay transactions and it will feature Amazon Alexa assistant. The Chinese edition will have the Xiao AI voice assistant onboard.

Women’s health mode and remote-control feature are some of the upgraded features that will be available on the Xiaomi Mi Band 5. Yesterday, the Chinese firm confirmed that it will come in strap color choices like yellow, red, blue, and black. Speculations are rife that the Mi Band 5 will cost 175 Yuan (~$25) in the home market.
