Earlier today (14th July 2020), Microsoft announced that it is continuing to expand its partnership with Samsung to bring a digital transformation for real estate development and property management industries across the globe.

The new strategic alliance between both tech giants will have both companies work to optimize energy management, equipment maintenance, and more. This partnership will utilize Microsoft’s productivity cloud services and Azure IoT platform and Samsung’s smart devices and SmartThings platform. The announcement also builds on Microsoft’s $5 billion investment into the security of its own IoT.

This collaboration will allow Microsoft to expand its IoT technology into newer markets, with the help of Samsung. In other words, saving millions to develop its own smart devices. Furthermore, real estate development and property management industries will also have to depend on this joint venture to improve their existing building maintenance and management processes.
