After launching the Mi 10 Ultra and Redmi K30 Ultra smartphone to commemorate the company’s 10 year anniversary, Xiaomi is now set to launch its new TV in China.

The company has today confirmed that the Xiaomi TV Master Ultra Edition will be made official in China on 28th September. It is also confirmed that the TV will have support for 8K display and 5G connectivity.

However, Xiaomi has not yet announced the size of the TV. For that, it seems like we will have to wait for the official launch event on 28th September. It could be related to the Xiaomi Mi TV Master series that was recently launched in a 65-inch OLED version.

The Xiaomi Mi TV Master 65-inch OLED model comes with support for 4K display with a 120Hz refresh rate and offers a screen-to-body ratio of 98.8 percent. It has support for features like high-speed motion compensation, AI image quality engine, and Dolby Vision, among others.

Recently, an 82-inch Smart TV from Xiaomi with support for 8K and 4K resolutions were spotted on 3C certification. The 82-inch Mi TV 8K has a model number L82M6-8K and is reportedly using a panel from LG Display.

The smart TV has an integrated 5G modem for streaming 8K content. As for the pricing, it is said that the television will be super expensive but will be cheaper than the company’s 49,999 yuan ($7,330) transparent TV.
