A few months ago, in September last year, ZTE launched the Axon 20 5G smartphone, making it the first smartphone in the world to feature an in-display fingerprint sensor. Now, the Chinese company is gearing up to launch its successor.

Ni Fei, President of ZTE’s Terminal Business Unit and President of Nubia Technologies, has now officially confirmed through a Weibo post that the company’s new smartphone with an under-display camera will soon get launched.

It’s noteworthy that ZTE will be launching a second-generation smartphone model with an in-display camera sensor while most companies are still in the Research & Development stage and have been trying to launch an in-display camera smartphone for at least a couple of years, including the likes of Samsung, Xiaomi, and OPPO.

Although Ni Fei has revealed that the upcoming device will soon get launched, he has not revealed what the phone is called. However, reports indicate that the product in question could be the Axon 30 smartphone.
