Samsung brought the Android 11 update to the Galaxy S20 FE smartphone in December 2020. This was a surprise rollout as the ETA was till February 2021. Anyway, the company has surprised the users by rolling out the next version of the UI, One UI 3.1 to this device.

Samsung introduced the One UI 3.1 alongside the Galaxy S21 launch last month. This UI brings few improvements like Improved performance, Private Share, GPS location data removal on Images, more Lock screen widgets, Background Video Calling, Google Discover on Home Screen, and more.

The company then brought it to the Galaxy Tab S7, S7+ making it first Samsung devices to get it via OTA update. Anyway, the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE(SM-G781B) is the next in line to get the One UI 3.1 update.

Courtesy of Sammobile, the update with firmware version G781BXXU2CUB5 is rolling out in the Majority of Europe. Countries like Netherlands, Belgium, Greece, Romania, Spain, Germany, Nordic, Czech Republic, Switzerland, Italy, United Kingdom, France, Slovenia, Baltic, Portugal and Poland are getting it.

Weighing about 1,708MB, it also brings the latest February 2021 Security patch. Also, XDADevelopers have found that the Bootloader has been incremented with this update. Hence, we advise you not to revert back to older firmware manually.

It’s worth noting that this is the 5G Global variant of the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE. So, 4G users in other regions won’t be getting this firmware. That said, we can expect the latter to get the update sooner in the coming days.
