Black Shark launched the Black Shark 4 series in China in late March. The lineup includes two devices, namely Black Shark 4 and Black Shark 4 Pro. The vanilla model initially debuted in four storage configurations. A little over two months from its launch, the smartphone gets a new storage variant in China.
The Black Shark 4 is one of the cheapest gaming smartphones in the market. The handset launched in the following four storage configurations in China.
- 6GB + 128GB – ¥2,499 ($390)
- 8GB + 128GB – ¥2,699 ($421)
- 12GB + 128GB – ¥2,999 ($468)
- 12GB + 256GB – ¥3,299 ($515)
A couple of months after its release, the device is now available in a new 8GB + 256GB variant. This version of the handset is priced at ¥2,999 ($468).
As you can see from above, the 8GB + 256GB and 12GB + 128GB variants of the Black Shark 4 cost the same. Hence, customers will have to decide whether they prefer more storage or more RAM. Since the phone lacks a MicroSD card slot, it’s better to go with the former version.
Unfortunately, the 8GB + 256GB variant is not available for the global version of the Black Shark 4. Hence, interested customers will have to import the Chinese version.
