Last week, OnePlus held an unveiling event in China to unleash the OnePlus 9RT and Buds Z2 TWS earbuds. The 9RT was made official as an updated version of the OnePlus 9RT, which went official earlier this year. As scheduled, it went on sale for the first time at 10 AM (local time) in China today. Few minutes after it went on sale, the company released an official confirmation that the 9RT’s sales surpassed 100 million Yuan in just 5 minutes.

The OnePlus 9RT is available for purchase through multiple platforms such as OnePlus China’s website, Jingdong Mall, Tmall, Suning, and so on. The 9RT is priced at 3,199 Yuan (~$499) for the 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage variant, 3,399 Yuan (~$530) for the 8 GB RAM + 256 GB storage model, and 3,699 Yuan (~$577) for the 12 GB RAM + 256 GB storage edition.

If calculated at the price of 3,399 Yuan ($577), the company may have sold around 30,000 units of the 9RT in less than five minutes. It comes in three colors such as black, silver, and blue.

The OnePlus 9RT features a 6.62-inch AMOLED panel with a punch-hole design. It offers a Full HD+ resolution, a 20:9 aspect ratio, and a 120Hz refresh rate. The smartphone is driven by the Snapdragon 888 mobile platform, LPDDR5 RAM, UFS 3.1 storage, and a 4,500mAh battery. The handset supports Warp Charge 65T fast charging.

For selfies, it has a Sony IMX471 16-megapixel front-facing camera. The rear-facing triple camera unit of the device has an OIS-enabled Sony IMX766 50-megapixel lens as the primary camera. It is assisted by a 16-megapixel ultrawide lens with a 123-degree FOV, and a  2-megapixel macro camera. For security, it features an in-screen fingerprint scanner. The device boots to ColorOS based Android 11 OS.
