Apple introduced Dynamic Island, a pill-shaped cutout with software optimisation on the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max last year. Since then, it became the talk of the town in the tech industry. While Apple’s Android competitors are yet to launch something similar to Dynamic Island, Xiaomi is expected to be the first brand to adopt the feature on its upcoming Xiaomi 13 Lite smartphone. Now Realme is also set to join the bandwagon.

Reliable tipster Steve Hemmerstoffer (@Onleaks) shared an image of a Realme device with a dynamic island. It displays a SuperVOOC text on the left and a battery percentage on the right side. The image also reveals Realme UI 4.0 version in the smartphone’s About Device page. Although the name of the upcoming offering remains a mystery, Realme VP Madhav Sheth acknowledged the dynamic island on Realme phone and also revealed an important detail. However, the tweet has now been deleted.

Sheth is calling the dynamic island on the phone as Realme Mini Capsule. Additionally, the executive added that it will make its way on the brand’s upcoming C-series smartphone. As per Sheth’s previous poll on Twitter, the upcoming offering is expected to be the successor to the Realme C35. The device is tipped to be called the Realme C55 and it has already bagged multiple certifications revealing a 4,880mAh battery unit with support for 33W fast charging.

Realme’s C-series phones are usually budget offerings under Rs 12,000 price bracket. It will be interesting to see something like Apple’s Dynamic Island in the same affordable price segment. We will have to wait and see how the Realme Mini Capsule will utilise software features compared to Dynamic Island.
