Unfortunately, the leak doesn’t tell whether the 5G model also has a temperature-sensitive model like its 4G sibling.

No official confirmation has come from Infinix yet, but sources point to a July–August 2026 India debut.

The report claims that Anish Kapoor, who headed Infinix India’s operations, is on his way out of the company. Citing multiple industry sources, Digit stated that Kapoor may have resigned earlier this year and is no longer associated with the brand.

While neither Infinix nor parent company Transsion Holdings has officially confirmed the development, sources suggest differences in strategy between the India team and the company’s Chinese leadership may have contributed to the separation.

The reported uncertainty has also coincided with employee movement across departments, with some members of the product and marketing teams said to be joining competing smartphone brands.

Although day-to-day operations reportedly continue as normal, the situation appears to have affected the company’s product roadmap. Between January and May 2026, Infinix launched only a limited number of smartphones compared to the same period last year.

Market share and shipment pressure continue

Industry analysts believe the slower launch pace reflects a combination of portfolio adjustments, financial pressures and rising component costs. The challenge is particularly significant in the budget smartphone segment, where margins remain thin and competition from established rivals continues to intensify.

Market data cited in the report indicates that Infinix shipped around 2.9 million smartphones in India during 2025. However, shipments reportedly dropped to approximately 500,000 units between January and April 2026. The brand’s market share has also trended downward in recent months, reflecting the broader challenges facing Transsion’s smartphone business in India.

Despite maintaining a strong presence in several international markets, especially across parts of Africa, Transsion’s outlook in India remains uncertain. The render shows a Glyph-style clock interface and an LED light on the bottom frame of the camera module. 

Is it just me, or does the design feel like a mashup — part iPhone 17 Pro, part Xiaomi 17 Pro Max?

Anyways, the phone is rumored to feature a 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and a 2.5D curved design. Up front, there’s a 32-megapixel selfie camera, while the rear houses a 200-megapixel primary sensor with OIS, paired with an 8-megapixel secondary lens and a 50-megapixel third camera.

Under the hood, the Infinix Note 60 Ultra could be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 8400 Ultimate chip. Interestingly, this is the same SoC Infinix is reportedly planning to use in the GT 50 Pro. It’s expected to come with 12GB of RAM and either 256GB or 512GB of storage.

The GT 50 Pro made its Geekbench run with the same setup, scoring 1,612 points in the single-core test and 6,686 points in the multi-core test.

A side view of the phone shows a very slim profile. Its thickness is said to be just 7.2mm, despite housing a large 6,500mAh battery. The back panel uses a pearl-like gemstone finish inspired by a cat’s-eye gem, creating subtle light reflections and depth when viewed from different angles.

If you were stuck in an area with no network access, the best option I can think of is to use some primitive techniques. Like maybe making smoke signals to call for help?

Satellite connectivity gained traction in mainstream phones because of these emergencies. And in 2026, the technology has matured enough that satellite connectivity can support two-way communication, including voice calls, all without a traditional cellular signal.

Samsung and Infinix are among those brands that are working to make satellite connectivity more than a niche feature. 

Satellite connectivity is no longer just for emergencies

Until recently, satellite features on smartphones were extremely limited. Apple, Google, and Samsung all introduced versions of satellite emergency messaging over the past few years, but these were tightly controlled experiences.

You could send a short message, usually guided by on-screen prompts, and only in specific situations. It was useful, but clearly not meant for everyday communication.

That limitation shaped how people think about satellite features. It was framed as a safety tool and not something you’d rely on regularly. However, that narrative is changing in 2026. 

Infinix takes an unexpected lead

One of the more interesting developments this year came from Infinix, a brand better known for value-focused smartphones. 

At CES 2026, Infinix showed off its upcoming Note 60 series, which includes built-in satellite calling and messaging designed to work in the background, without special modes or complicated setup.

Infinix’s idea is fairly simple here. When you’re within the radius of cellular coverage, the phone behaves like any other smartphone. But when it isn’t, the phone can automatically switch to satellite communication.

Honestly, the idea sounds seamless enough that users shouldn’t feel much difference in functionality, though there will likely be a hit to speed and quality.

That’s because this isn’t a high-bandwidth connectivity. You won’t be streaming videos or joining long video calls over satellite anytime soon. But for basic voice calls and text messaging, it may be enough. And that’s the point.

Infinix doesn’t want satellite calling to be a niche or exclusive feature. Instead, the brand wants to make it a practical solution for places where networks are unreliable or simply don’t exist.

The approach makes sense if you take Infinix demographics into consideration. The company sells most of its phones in regions where coverage gaps are common. 

Samsung is taking a more methodical approach

Samsung is one of the first Android brands to introduce satellite connectivity in the Galaxy S25 series. As we mentioned earlier, the feature is currently limited to text-based communication.

What’s important from Samsung is its preparation for the next step. The company is working on the Exynos Modem 5410, which is expected to support a wider range of satellite communication standards. And yes, this includes the technical capability for satellite voice calls, and maybe even low-quality video calls.

Whether those features actually reach users will depend on carriers, regulators, and partnerships with satellite operators. But if the rumors are true, the Galaxy S26 series will be the first device to feature this modem. 

From “no service” to limited service everywhere

One way to think about satellite calling is not as a replacement for cellular networks, but as a safety net underneath them. Cellular connections will always be faster, cheaper, and better for most use cases. Satellites step in when that system fails.

Satellite calling doesn’t mean your phone suddenly works the same way in the middle of the ocean as it does in a city. Latency will be higher. Call quality can be inconsistent. Weather and line-of-sight can make or break a connection. These systems come with real trade-offs.

But they also reduce the number of situations where your phone is completely useless. Instead of “no service,” the future may look more like “limited service,” and that’s a meaningful difference.

Why this matters

It’s easy to dismiss satellite calling as something only adventurers care about. But the real impact is much broader.

For travelers, it means fewer dead zones and less dependence on local infrastructure. For rural communities, it offers another path to connectivity where building towers isn’t practical. And during natural disasters, when ground networks are damaged, satellite calling could keep communication open without requiring special equipment.

The limits are still real

None of this means satellite calling is fully solved. Pricing models remain unclear. Some services may be limited by region, carrier agreements, or government regulations. Battery drain is also a concern, especially for always-on satellite systems.

And for most users in cities with strong coverage, satellite calling will remain invisible most of the time. That’s actually the goal. If the feature works best when you don’t notice it, it’s doing its job.

Foldables and flagship innovations

One of the most eye-catching phones at CES 2026 was the Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold, a tri-folding device that opens up into a large 10-inch internal display while still folding into a compact form. This much-talked-about phone runs on a powerful Snapdragon chipset and features a 200-megapixel main camera, aiming to blend productivity and entertainment in a single device. Samsung announced pricing at 3.59 million won (around $3,700) in Korea, with wider global availability planned in the coming months.

Motorola joined the foldable conversation with the Motorola Razr Fold, a new book-style foldable that brings an 8.1-inch internal display and a 6.6-inch external screen into a design that pays homage to its classic Razr lineage. It also integrates a triple 50-megapixel camera array and stylus support that aims to appeal to productivity-oriented users.

Infinix also made a notable appearance with its Infinix Note 60 series, highlighted for global satellite calling and messaging support, a feature that allows basic communication even where conventional networks are unavailable. While official pricing hasn’t been fully confirmed, the innovative connectivity and the introduction of HydroFlow liquid cooling and ModuVerse modular accessory support suggest that Infinix is aiming for a mix of utility and differentiated features at an attractive price point.

A particularly intriguing announcement at CES 2026 was the Clicks Communicator, a smartphone designed with a physical QWERTY keyboard that evokes the nostalgia of classic BlackBerry-style devices. It features a 4.03-inch AMOLED screen, Android 16 with support for major messaging apps, a 50-megapixel rear camera, and 256 GB of storage expandable up to 2 TB via microSD. The device was priced at $499 for full retail, with early reservation pricing starting at $399.

The Communicator’s focus on messaging and productivity offers a different take on smartphone use, where tactile input and streamlined communication replace hours of endless scrolling. At CES 2026 this week, Infinix unveiled the Note 60 series as the first smartphones to support global satellite calling. While satellite calling is no longer a new feature on smartphones, the news is about the unique approach from Infinix that turns it beyond an “emergency-only” feature.

According to Infinix, global satellite calling on the Note 60 series is built as an always-on emergency connection rather than a novelty add-on. A report from Android Headlines says the feature covers nearly two-thirds of the Earth’s surface and works without any extra registration from the user. This essentially means you can use this feature almost anywhere in the world. 

The transmission speeds are limited to just 4Kbps, but Infinix claims the system is optimized for HD voice calls and two-way SMS. Infinix says the phone can automatically switch between satellite and roaming networks, which should allow it to maintain connectivity even in areas with no traditional mobile signal.

Gaming and accessories

Alongside satellite calling, Infinix introduced what it calls the HydroFlow liquid cooling system. The Note 60 is the first phone to use the company’s new cooling architecture, which pushes coolant at a rate of 6.5ml per minute using dual piezoelectric ceramic pumps. 

The setup is paired with a new vibrating piezoelectric fan that doesn’t rely on traditional rotating blades. Instead, the fan uses ultra-thin vibrating blades that are just 0.1mm thick and pulse 25,000 times per second. Infinix claims this solid-state design controls heat far more efficiently than conventional fans, especially during extended gaming sessions or demanding AI workloads.

The company is also tapping into the gaming accessories market with what it says is the industry’s first split controller. It has a pressure-sensitive touchpad designed for ultra-low latency. There’s also a wireless magnetic trigger featuring mouse-grade microswitches.

Design and modules

As for the design, the Note 60 series back panel uses smart materials like photochromic leather and thermochromic ink, which can change color, display 3D effects, or show flowing animations based on light and temperature. It’s more visual flair than a functional upgrade, but it is cool nonetheless. 

The company also introduced its AI Module Universe, a modular ecosystem of magnetic accessories. These include a conferencing module for instant translation, a VlogCam module with AI-based subject tracking, and add-ons like a professional microphone module and an expandable battery pack called StackPower. The idea is to let users adapt the phone for specific tasks rather than relying on one fixed setup.

Infinix hasn’t shared pricing or an official release date yet for the Note 60 series, including the Note 60 Ultra.

The Infinix Note Edge surfaced earlier this month via Indonesia’s SDPPI certification. Now the phone has shown up in a fresh leak, this time courtesy of tipster Paras Guglani on X.

The leaked image reveals the Infinix Note Edge in a green finish with a relatively slim profile. Around the back, the camera module stretches wide across the upper portion of the phone. It houses two camera lenses, an LED flash, and what appears to be an additional filler light.

According to Guglani, the Infinix Note Edge will be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7100 5G chipset. The processor hasn’t been officially announced yet, but the leak claims it will be built on a 6nm process.

Software-wise, it’s likely to come pre-installed with Android 16. Infinix is also said to be promising three years of Android platform updates and five years of security patches. 

Up front, the Note Edge is said to feature a 3D curved AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution. Keeping everything running will be a sizable 6,500mAh battery. 

Guglani adds that the Infinix Note Edge is currently slated to debut in January 2026.

The Infinix Note Edge seems to be a new phone line from the Chinese brand. It received SDPPI recognition alongside the Infinix Note 60 and Note 60 Pro.

The Note 60 Pro has already popped up on Geekbench with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset, which was announced earlier this year. 

The only other phone to feature this chip is the Redmi Note 15 Pro+, which is currently available only in China. The Note 60 Pro is also revealed to feature 8GB of RAM and Android 16.

While nothing is official just yet, there’s a good chance Infinix could launch all three phones together.

Infinix has confirmed that the XPad Edge features a slim 6.19mm unibody metal design and weighs 588g, giving it a lightweight and premium build. The tablet sports a 13.2-inch display with a resolution of 2,400 x 1,600 pixels and a typical brightness of 450 nits.

Audio duties are handled by a quad-speaker setup, which the brand claims deliver significantly louder sound output compared to conventional tablet speakers. On the software side, the XPad Edge comes with WPS Office pre-installed and supports several productivity-focused tools such as split screen, parallel windows, phone casting and a PC secondary display mode.

The XPad Edge also introduces a suite of AI-based features, including the Folax voice assistant, Hi Translation, AI Smart Screen Recognition and AI Creation. Infinix has additionally confirmed support for both 4G and Wi-Fi connectivity.

A few details of the Infinix Note 60 Pro are already known, as it has appeared in Geekbench’s database. The listing revealed that it will be the company’s first smartphone to feature a Snapdragon chip.

However, earlier this year, the company unveiled the Infinix Xpad GT, equipped with the older Snapdragon 888 chip for the global market. It now appears that the brand is gearing up to launch a new Snapdragon-powered Infinix phone. In fact, this new mysterious phone seems to use a brand-new chip that has been previously seen only on the Chinese variant of the Redmi Note 15 Pro+.

Infinix X6878 Geekbench listing

The above screenshot shows that a forthcoming Infinix phone with the model number X6878 has surfaced in Geekbench’s database. Before appearing on Geekbench, this device was also spotted in Europe’s EEC certification, but that listing did not reveal anything significant.

The Geekbench listing reveals that the Infinix X6878 phone is powered by a Snapdragon chip that includes a prime core running at 2.71GHz, three cores operating at 2.40GHz, and four cores clocked at 1.80GHz. For graphics, the chipset is equipped with the Adreno 810 GPU.

Although the chipset’s name is not specified, the device appears to be powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 SoC, which went official in August this year. The handset scored 1,232 in Geekbench 6.5’s single-core test and 2,882 in the multi-core test. The only other phone that features the said chip is the Redmi Note 15 Pro+, which debuted in August in China.

The Geekbench listing further reveals that the Infinix X6878 phone has 8GB of RAM and runs on Android 16. Unfortunately, there is no information about the final marketing name of this phone. There is a possibility that it could be the forthcoming Infinix Zero 50 or Note Edge phone. Likely, the said device may go official in November, but there’s no clarity about its targeted markets.

The Mystic Plum edition features a premium vegan leather finish similar to its Blue edition. It also comes in three other shades, namely Titanium Grey, Marine Drift (Blue), and Burgundy Red.

Infinix Note 50s specifications

The Infinix Note 50s 5G has a 6.78-inch curved-edge AMOLED screen that supports an FHD+ resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. The device ships with XOS 15-based Android 15. It is confirmed to receive two years of Android OS upgrades and three years of security updates.

The Note 50s 5G is powered by the Dimensity 7300 Ultimate chip and packs a 5,500mAh battery with 45W charging support. It has a 13-megapixel front-facing camera and a rear setup comprising a Sony IMX682 64-megapixel main camera, a 2-megapixel auxiliary lens, and an Active Halo Lighting LED.

The Note 50s 5G comes with other features like a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, JBL dual speakers, a microSD card slot, and an IR blaster. In terms of durability, the Note 50s features an IP64-rated chassis and MIL-STD-810H military-grade certification.

Infinix has officially confirmed that the Infinix GT 30 will globally launch on Sept. 11. To recall, the device debut in India with an exciting price tag of Rs 19,499 (~$220) in India last month. For the global release, Infinix has partnered with Tencent’s TiMi Studio Group, the developer behind the tactical shooter title Delta Force.

Collaboration with Delta Force

The new collaboration will bring a special edition of the GT 30, which is expected to be featured in esports competitions across Southeast Asia. The GT 30 Delta Force Special Edition will also serve as the official tournament device for multiple regional events, offering players smoother frame rates and an edge in competitive gameplay.

Instead of the Dimensity 8350 Ultimate that powers the GT 30 Pro, the GT 30 features the Dimensity 7400 that promises stable performance for demanding games.  The device retains the GT Trigger shoulder key, which uses capacitive sensors to replicate console-style controls. Besides enhancing gameplay in shooters and MOBAs, the trigger can also act as a shortcut for camera and video features. High-frame-rate certification for popular games such as PUBG Mobile, Mobile Legends and Delta Force confirms that the device can push up to 120 FPS for consistent responsiveness.

On the design front, the GT 30 introduces a Mechanical Light Waves aesthetic, offering two new colour options, Cyber Blue and Pulse Green, in addition to Shadow Ash and Blade White. Starting from the front, the Infinix XPAD 20 Pro features a 12-inch IPS LCD panel that supports 2000 x 1200 pixel resolution, a 5:3 aspect ratio, a 90Hz refresh rate, and 450 nits of peak brightness. The device runs on XOS 15.1.2-based Android 15 and has support for AI unlock for security.

Under the hood, the XPAD 20 Pro has the Helio G100 Ultimate chip, which is accompanied by 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM, 8GB of virtual RAM, and 256GB of storage. The tablet houses a massive 8,000mAh battery with 18W charging support. The device is equipped with four speakers for an enhanced audio experience. 

For photography, the Infinix XPAD 20 Pro has a 5-megapixel front camera and an 8-megapixel rear snapper. On the connectivity front, the device offers features like LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.2, and USB-C.

As compared to the standard edition, the Pro model sports a larger screen, a better chipset, and a bigger battery.

Infinix XPAD 20 Pro price and availability

The Infinix XPAD 20 Pro comes in two configurations, such as 8GB+128GB and 8G+ 256GB, and carries a THB (~$340) starting price. It comes in shades like Titanium Gray and Mist Blue.

While it has seemingly been released in Thailand, it is unclear which other markets will receive it.

Infinix has revealed that its latest smartphone, the Hot 60 Pro+, has achieved a remarkable global recognition. The announcement came during a recent certification event in Indonesia, where Guinness World Records adjudicators confirmed the achievement.

The Infinix Hot 60 Pro+ has been certified as the world’s thinnest 3D curved display smartphone, measuring only 5.95mm at its slimmest point. The award ceremony was hosted at the iconic Borobudur Temple in Indonesia, coinciding with the device’s local launch.

To ensure credibility, Infinix collaborated with an ILAC-accredited laboratory that carried out precise laser measurements at multiple points. The results confirmed a thickness of 5.95mm at its thinnest area and 6.09mm at the thickest section, the latter being used as the official Guinness benchmark.

Infinix Hot 60 Pro+ specifications

Despite its slim design, the Hot 60 Pro+ offers a solid feature set. The smartphone is powered by the MediaTek Helio G200 chipset and sports a 6.78-inch curved AMOLED display with 1,224p resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate.

The Hot 60 Pro+ also comes with a 50-megapixel primary camera, an in-display fingerprint scanner, and an IP65 rating for dust and water resistance. The device weighs just 155 grams and is backed by a 5,160mAh battery with 45W fast charging and 10W reverse wired charging support.

 In comparison, the Galaxy S25 Edge is slightly thinner at 5.8mm but carries a smaller 3,900mAh battery and is heavier at 163.8 grams. The Hot 60 Pro+ is globally available for $200.

Infinix has introduced the XBOOK B15 laptop in India with the tagline “Master Every Task.” The laptop brings a 15.6-inch IPS display with a 16:9 aspect ratio, 1920×1080 resolution, 87.4 percent screen-to-body ratio, and 3.75mm bezels.

It runs on AMD Ryzen 7 5825U (8 cores, 16 threads, up to 4.5GHz) or AMD Ryzen 5 5500U (6 cores, 12 threads, up to 4.0GHz) processors, paired with AMD Radeon graphics. The laptop supports 8GB, 16GB, or 32GB DDR4 RAM, expandable up to 64GB, and 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB NVMe PCIe SSD, with expansion up to 2TB.

The XBOOK B15 is equipped with a 50Wh lithium polymer battery and ships with a 65W Type-C adapter. It measures 352.8mm wide, 226.7mm deep, and 17.65mm high, weighs 1.59kg, and features an aluminum alloy lid.

It includes a 1080p FHD webcam with privacy shutter, dual microphones, and a full-size backlit chiclet keyboard with three brightness levels and a numeric keypad. Cooling is managed by 79 S-shaped fan blades spinning up to 4200RPM.

Connectivity options cover Wi-Fi (2.4GHz and 5GHz), Bluetooth 5.0, one USB 3.2 Gen1, one USB 2.0, two USB Type-C ports (one full function, one data), HDMI 1.4, RJ-45, TF card slot, Kensington lock, 3.5mm audio jack, and DC in.

Audio is supported by two 1.5W speakers with DTS Audio processing. Other features include a numeric keypad, multi-touch touchpad, and MIL-STD 810H certification for durability.

The laptop comes in Grey and will be available from August 21 on Flipkart at a starting price of ₹30,990.

Infinix‘s latest launch brings a new entry level smartphone in India. For a budget of just Rs 10,000, the new Infinix Hot 60i 5G brings a bunch of useful features like a smoother display than the iPhone 16 and a battery pack larger than Samsung’s Galaxy S25 Ultra. So let’s check it out.

Infinix Hot 60i 5G: What do you get for under Rs 10,000?

The Chinese brand announced the Hot 60i 5G with a tall 6.75-inch LCD panel that has an HD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and 670 nits of peak brightness. Under the hood, the budget phone is equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 6400 SoC, which is paired with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Users can even expand the storage by up to 2TB via a microSD card slot.

A massive 6,000mAh battery pack powers this model, which supports 18W wired fast charging. The rear has a 50MP camera, while the front has a 5MP selfie shooter. Out of the box, the Infinix Hot 60i runs on the Android 15 OS based HiOS 15 custom skin. You also get support for dual SIM (nano + nano + microSD), Bluetooth 5.3, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a side mounted fingerprint scanner for security.

Infinix launched the Hot 60i with a Pixel’s visor like design on the rear. You can pick from four different color options, namely Monsoon Green, Plum Red, Sleek Black, and Shadow Blue. It will be available for purchase via Flipkart and retail stores on 21st August 2025 for Rs 9,299. There is also a bank discount that brings its effective price down to just Rs 8,999. This release also arrives mere days after the Infinix GT 30 went on sale in India.
