Anyway, here I still want to give you a brief introduction, since there are some fun facts about the brand. CUKTECH is actually a brand under Xiaomi’s eco-chain, specializing in portable power solutions like power banks, chargers, and other charging accessories. You might heard of another brand called ZMI, which has been merged with CUKTECH. So the new products of CUKTECH actually come out from the same team.

Again, the fact is that new CUKTECH products was still selling out quite easily whenever they went on sale in China market. There are two reasons for it: firstly because their products always come with a very good value for money; and secondly, because their products are somehow ‘irreplaceable’. For example, if you want to buy a power bank that supports the high-power Mi-Turbo charge, CUKTECH is the best of the very few choices (Nope, Xiaomi’s official options don’t convince me).

Unboxing

Now let’s do the unboxing and check out what we got here.

The CUKTECH 10 Power Bank comes in a simple black package that contains the Power Bank, User Manual, and a 6A cable.

It is recommended to use this special 6A cable when charging Xiaomi devices.

In Actual tests, when connecting the Xiaomi 14 Pro with a normal cable, it can activate up to 100W charge. Well, pretty cool… But, using this 6A cable you will activate 120W Mi-Tubro charge here. I’m happy the special cable is included.

Design

This power bank has a capacity of 10,000mAh / 36Wh, and weighs 288g.

it comes with the CUKTECH family design, the same silver color as the dominant tone, black for some decorative color, and this blue line on the IO part. I personally like this design a lot, as it is really subtle and sophisticated.

There are textures on the black part, which gives solid holding in hands with excellent grip.

There is a small TFT screen on the front of the power bank, which can display the remaining power, charge, or discharge time left, as well as the working status of each port.

This is really cool as we do see many power banks coming with such an info panel, especially for a 10000mAh portable power bank. I mean it’s not that huge, highly-priced model with 20,000 capacity or above, so it’s impressive to see the lovely but informative screen here.

And even if you don’t want to waste power to drive this screen, you can also make the screen stay off manually – Well, good job CUKTECH.

Of course, my favorite thing about it is still the compact size. You can see how small it is. I can put it in my backpack or even my pocket, and it’s not a burden even if I carry it around every day.

Charging Protocols

The Type-C port supports up to 120W Mi-Tubro charge, along with 100W PD and 60W PPS. The A port supports QC3.0 and UFCS Protocol. It’s worth noting that the A port doesn’t support the Mi-Turbo charge.

So if you want to charge your Xiaomi devices, it’s better to stay with the Type-C port. And not just for Xiaomi phones, I would suggest having the Type-C port for the latest phones, tablets, and laptops, as the PD and PPS charging has been widely applied for the latest years.

Anyway, we also did a complete test of the charging protocols for these two charging ports. The results are pretty solid, please check out the image below or just watch the video.

The CUKTECH’s power banks generally support most open fast-charging protocols, while, unfortunately, some brands still only stick to closed private fast-charging protocols. This undoubtedly adds to the cost for their users when shopping for fast-charging products, and available options will be limited. So as we reviewed so many charging solutions, we really hope that all the phone brands will embrace the open protocol.

Of course, the most important thing is how it performs when charging up Xiaomi devices, I chose several popular Xiaomi devices to test and there is no doubt that the CUKTECH 10 Power Bank can activate the highest power Tubro charge for all of them, which is almost the same as we got on the premium CUKTECH 20.

So, if you are a Xiaomi fan, this is the ultimate EDC Power Bank for you.

Well, not just for Xiaomi devices, the results with other brands’ devices also brought a little surprise.

For example, I was also surprised by its performance with the Vivo X100 Pro and Honor Magic 6 Pro, both of which can have high charging power under PPS protocols. So maybe the CUKTECH 10 is a smarter choice than their expensive official power banks?

In addition, since CUKTECH 10 Power Bank supports 100W PD Protocol, it can also juice up laptops. Here we selected a 14-inch Macbook Pro with the power bank for the test, you can see the output power here.

Of course, since it’s only 10,000mAh, the CUKTECH 10 obviously is more appropriate for charging phones and other smart wearable devices.

The CUKTECH 10 Power Bank supports 90W input power, during the test it started with 86.2W input power, after 10 minutes the power was dropped to 50W, which is still a pretty high power. Eventually, it only took 45 minutes to get fully charged.

The crazy thing is that it only takes 10 minutes to charge up to 43%, which is certainly a great solution for some emergency charging needs.

Stress Test

In the stress test, the Type-C port was used to charge the Xiaomi 14 Pro, and the A port to charge the Vivo X100 Pro.

The temperature was measured after 15 minutes, and as you can see, it has excellent temperature control just like the other CUKTECH products we have tested.

Meanwhile, I also tested the ripple, which was only 10 mV at no load and 50 mV at 100W output.

User Experience

So who is the CUKTECH 10 Power Bank for? No doubt it is the best for Xiaomi fans, no matter whether you are using Xiaomi, Redmi or POCO, it can activate the Mi-Turbo charge with maximum power. For Xiaomi fans, this power bank is the best choice at 10000mAh capacity.

If you don’t have a Xiaomi device, you can refer to the test results in the video to make your decision, after all, the Mi-Turbo charge is like a bonus compared to the other third-party power banks. Even if you exclude the Mi-Turbo charge, this is still a very good model.

So how to choose between CUKTECH 10 and 20? Here’s a very good example in our studio for your reference. There’re different features of Power Banks valued inside the Review team. Last year, ZMI, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Xiaomi, was renamed Cuktech due to legal issues. For the unaware, this company is the maker of power accessories sold by Xiaomi.

ZMI is also known for its own lineup of power banks and chargers. Ahead of the Chinese New Year, the brand has launched special editions of two of its products.

Cuktech 10 Power Bank and Cuktech Ultra-thin GaN Charger now come in gold color options in China. These new variants have the text ‘2024’ embossed on them.

The battery pack is priced at ¥249 (~$35), whereas the charger costs ¥169 (~$25). Both of them are up for sale on JD (Jingdong).

Apart from color, there’s no difference between the special edition and regular variant.

The Cuktech 10 Power Bank has a 10,000mAh battery capacity. It looks like a chocolate bar measuring 143 x 45 x 33.4 mm in dimensions. It weighs about 287g.

The accessory has a built-in TFT LCD color screen. This display shows power, voltage, current, and other parameters in real time.

The battery pack has a USB Type-C port that supports up to 120W output and 90W input. There’s also a USB Type-A port with 33W output support. Both ports have a combined output capacity of 150W.

The power bank supports popular charging standards, such as USB PD (Power Delivery) 3.0, PPS (Programmable Power Supply), QC (Qualcomm Quick Charge), FCP (HiSilicon Fast Charging Protocol), UFCS (Universal Fast Charging Specification), and others.

On the other hand, the Cuktech Ultra-thin GaN Charger has a foldable pin. It supports up to 65W output and features dual USB Type-C ports.

It also supports widely used charging standards, like USB PD 3.0, QC, and AFC (Samsung Adaptive Fast Charging) to name a few.

ZMI has just offered an official statement to clarify the ongoing rumors that have claimed that it will be ceasing its operations. The company denied these rumors and said that it will continue to operate under the ZMI brand.

Looking at the official statement, the Chinese brand has stated that the ZMI brand will continue to exist and develop new products. Furthermore, it said that any remarks or rumors that hint at the brand suspending its operations is false. The company also added that it will continue to provide all of its loyal customers with high value and high quality products along with long term stable after sales services.

This statement was shared on Weibo (a Chinese microblogging website) where it thanked its fans for their concern and hoped that future rumors will not be believed. For those unaware, there were some rumors online that were being shared that claimed that the company has seen a massive restructuring following an acquisition. Reportedly, the brand had been purchased by Xiaomi Corp and the turn over had ZMI lay off around 80 percent of its staff.

The rumor also claimed that there were only some technicians left who were then merged into Xiaomi’s smart wearable department while others were incorporated into the various other departments in the Chinese tech giant. ZMI, a Xiaomi-backed company known for making charging products, also has a lineup of true wireless earphones. Now, the company has announced that its TWS Earbuds series has crossed the benchmark of selling over 1 million units.

Making the announcement, the Research & Development team of ZMI TWS Earphones expressed gratitude to the users for their support and trust. The team added that they will continue to move forward with persistent efforts to provide more good choices.

ZMI had launched its first true wireless earbuds in its home market last year — ZMI Purpods and Purpods Pro, priced at 199 yuan and 399 yuan respectively. As the name indicates, the Pro is a high-end variant that comes with support for Active Noise Cancellation and offers up to 35dB noise reduction.

Earlier this year, the company starting selling the PurPods true wireless earbuds for 199 yuan but it currently retails for 179 yuan. It comes with EQsmart adaptive technology that adjusts the volume according to the sound levels in the users’ surroundings.

Interestingly, the ZMI TWS Headset Team also developed the Redmi AirDots 3 Pro earphones that were launched for 349 yuan. It features Active Noise Cancellation up to 35dB and offers ultra-low latency of 69ms.

Back in June, ZMI GaN Charger 65W 1A1C was released in China. Now two months later, the brand has launched a 33W version of this charger without GaN (Gallium Nitride). The new product is called ZMI 33W Charger 1A1C and it is advertised as compatible with iPhone 13 series.

ZMI 33W Charger 1A1C Specifications and Features

The new ZMI charger comes in a matte green color option. As the name suggests, it supports up to 33W output and features two ports (USB Type-A, USB Type-C). It also sports a foldable pin.

The power adapter supports Xiaomi’s proprietary charging protocols (22.5W, 33W), USB PD (Power Delivery), and Apple 20W charging. Hence, it can be used to charge Xiaomi group smartphones, the latest iPhones, and other USB PD compatible devices. Additionally, as mentioned in the beginning, ZMI claims that this charger can be also used to fuel the upcoming iPhone 13 series.

It is worth noting that only the USB Type-C port maxes out at 33W, while the USB Type-A port is limited to 27W. Both the ports can be used at the same time and during those sessions, the power adapter is capped at 22.5W.

Lastly, like any other ZMI charger, there’s also a Xiaomi variant of the ZMI 33W Charger 1A1C in white color. But interestingly, that product is sold in Taiwan instead of China.

ZMI 33W Charger 1A1C Price and Availability

The ZMI 33W Charger 1A1C is priced at ¥79 ($12) in China. But for a limited time, it will be available at ¥69 ($11). The charger is scheduled to go on sale from September 1.

As of now, it’s not known whether this product will make its way to more markets other than China and Taiwan.

Xiaomi‘s ecological chain company ZMI has launched a 65W GaN charger that has the same form-factor as the Xiaomi 65W GaN charger that was launched earlier this month. The noticable difference between the two is the colour. While Xiaomi’s 65W GaN comes in white, the ZMI 65W GaN charger comes in black.

This is similar to what obtains on the Xiaomi 33W GaN Charger which was later launched as ZMI 33W GaN Charger Mini in black. The new 65W GaN charger uses a foldable pin design. It is compact and portable and features a dual-port design consisting of a USB Type-C port and a USB-A port.

The ZMI 65W GaN charger has an area of just 31×31mm which shouldn’t take up much space. It utilises a gallium nitride chip which is capable of providing higher power density. The maimum output of the ingle USB-C port is 65W while the USB-A port has a maximum output of 18W. ZMI touts the charger as capable of providing 55W fast charging for the Mi 11, delivering full charge in just 45 minutes. It can also provide 20W of power for iPhone 12, charging from zero to 60% in 30 minutes.

It should be noted though, that when the two ports are in use, the USB-C port charges at 45W maximum while the USB-A port retains its 18W output. In addition, the ZMI 65W GaN charger comes standard with a 1.5m-long dual-port Type-C cable which can support PD high-power fast charging for some laptops.

The ZMI 65W GaN charger carries a price tag of 149 yuan (~$23). The product will be sold simultaneously on the ZMI’s official Jingdong (JD.com) store and Xiaomi Youpin on June 16.

China’s 618 Mid-year Shopping Festival is presently ongoing. Xiaomi‘s ecological company ZMI has launched a two-way fast-charging mobile power bank. The product is dubbed ZMI MINI Power Bank high-end version is an upgraded version of the ZMI MINI Power Bank launched in September last year.

The new model comes with a sleek shape and a compact build. Under the hood, it crams two 21700 lithium batteries with a total capacity of 10,000mAh. The mobile power bank adopts a one-piece shell with UV spray paint treatment. The length of the product is 98.5mm, the thickness is 26.25mm, and it weighs 202g.

In terms of connectivity, the mobile power bank has a USB-A port and a Type-C port. The USB-C port supports input/output functions with a maximum power of 30W while the USB-A port has a maximum output of 22.5W. The battery has functions such as temperature protection, short-circuit protection, over-current, and over-voltage protection. Also, it can be used to charge products that require lesser power such as smart bands. This mode, known as Trickle charging mode, can be activated by double-clicking the power button.

Furthermore, the USB-A port onboard the ZMI MINI Power bank supports three fixed voltage outputs of 5V/2.4A, 9V/2.23A, and 12V/1.67A. On the other hand, the Type-C port supports 5V/3A, 9V/3A, 12V/2.25A, 15V/2A multiple gear output. Both ports support multiple fast-charging protocols and can charge Apple mobile phones.

The ZMI MINI Power Bank High-end version is currently on sale in China via Jingdong (JD.com) and is priced at 199 yuan (~$31).

Last year, two Xiaomi-backed companies (ZMI and Jisu Life) launched portable fans to beat the heat in summer. A year later, ZMI is back with another such product with a unique design. The company calls this ‘ZMI Hanging Neck Folding Fan’ (translated).

The new ZMI portable fan is different than the model released last year. As the name suggests, this fan can be folded to position it as per requirement. But the main highlight is that it can be worn around the neck with the help of the included adjustable nylon lanyard.

According to the company, the fan can be adjusted from 0° to 120°. Further, other than coming in three colors (White, Pink, Green), the fan blades also feature RGB LED light. The lighting effect can be changed via a dedicated button on the side.

The product comes with a brushless motor to run its seven blades. It supports three different speed settings and can be easily disassembled for cleaning.

As for endurance, ZMI claims 13-hour battery life in the first gear, 8 hours in the second gear, and only 4 hours in the third gear. Like most accessories, it charges via USB Type-C and a cable is included in the box.

Last but not least, ZMI Hanging Neck Folding Fan weighs 130g and is priced at ¥99 ($15). However, during the product’s first sale on May 15, it will retail for ¥89 ($14).

Earlier today (16th April 2021), ZMI announced that its PurPods Pro truly wireless earbuds will soon arrive in a new color variant. The earphones will now be available in Black and will be launched on 27th April 2021.

For those unaware, the Chinese electronics maker had launched the PurPods Pro true wireless earphones back in October 2020. The earbuds support ANC dual noise reduction and was priced at 399 Yuan (roughly 61 US Dollars). Earlier this year, the company even launched the base PurPods variant in January, which was priced at 199 Yuan (roughly 30 US Dollars).

Despite both versions of the ZMI hearables launching a while back, these earphones have only been available in a single color variant, namely white. But now, the company is seeking to launch its higher end variant in a new black variant. Talking about the earphones, the PurPods Pro offers 35dB noise reduction depth through its dual ANC (active noise cancellation) feature. These earbuds also have three mics for call noise reduction as well.

Other features include, support for Bluetooth 5.2, a dedicated gaming mode, and more. For battery life, the PurPods Pro has a 7 hour of audio playback with ANC enabled and 10 hours with ANC turned off. The charging case offers an additional 32 hours of audio charge. Unfortunately, the pricing of these earbuds is currently unknown but it is likely that it will be priced around or the same as the previously launched earbuds.

ZMI has launched a new accessory for Apple devices in China. This latest product is called ZMI USB Type-C to Lightning Silicone Cable. As the name suggests, it is a silicone-insulated cable for charging and data transfer. It is priced at ¥89 ($14) in the company’s home country.

Earlier this week, Xiaomi launched Mi GaN Charger Type-C 33W in its home country China in a single white color option. A few days later, ZMI has also released the same product but in black color. It is called ZMI 33W GaN Charger Mini and is also priced at ¥79 ($12), just like the Mi-branded charger.

For those unaware, ZMI is one of the members of the Xiaomi ecological chain. The company is known for manufacturing power banks and chargers for Xiaomi. Hence, it is not surprising to see the same charger being sold with both ZMI and Mi brandings.

Although the two chargers are identical in terms of specs as well as price, they differ by appearance. The Xiaomi model features a glossy finish with white color paintjob and ‘Xiaomi 33W’ writing on one of the sides. On the other hand, the ZMI product has a dual-tone (glossy, matte) black color finish with a ‘33W’ text.

Talking about specifications, the ZMI 33W GaN Charger Mini with model number HA715 supports up to 33W output. It features a USB Type-C port and also ships with a USB Type-C to Type-C cable.

The charger is compatible with all smartphones and tablets, including iPhones as well as iPads. As the name suggests, it uses GaN (Gallium Nitride) instead of silicon, and therefore, it is smaller than regular chargers with an identical maximum output rate.

Earlier this month, ZMI launched a 25,000mAh power bank in China called ZMI No. 20. Now, the company is crowdfunding this product on Indiegogo for only $99 with a different name – ZMI PowerPack No. 20. The main highlight of this battery pack is that it can support up to 210W output at once via its three output ports.

As of writing this article, the ZMI PowePack No. 20 power bank has already reached its crowdfunding goal. It should start shipping to backers from March. Also, the first 200 backers will be getting a ZMI lightning cable for free. That said, you can still back the product now but its price will be increased soon.

Talking about the features, this power bank supports USB PD (Power Delivery) protocol and sports two USB Type-C ports and a single USB Type-A port. The first Type-C port can support up to 100W input and output, whereas the second Type-C port is limited to 45W. On the other hand, the Type-A port supports up to 65W output. 

Further, it comes with a 25,000mAh capacity and can output current from all the ports at once. Hence, the company advertises it to come with 210W max output. Also, it has a small LED screen to display battery capacity and a button that can be used to activate low power charging mode for accessories.

Last but not least, the ZMI PowerPack No. 20 power bank measures 188.6 x 80.4 x 27.1mm in dimensions, weighs 580g, and ships with a USB Type-C to Type-C cable as well as a USB Type-A to Type-C cable.

Earlier today (14th January 2021), the ZMI officially announced its PurPods true wireless earbuds. The new wireless earphones have been launched in China and will be available for purchase starting tomorrow, January 15.

Back in October 2020, ZMI had launched its PurPods Pro TWS earphones. These earbuds featured dual ANC (active noise cancelation) and were priced at 399 Yuan (roughly 61 US Dollars). Now, the Chinese company has launched the base PurPods, which are more affordable than their high end variant but lack the noise cancelling feature. In other words, we can expect the new wireless earphones to arrive with specifications similar to the premium variant.

Xiaomi‘s ecological chain company ZMI is gaining popularity for its wide range of charging solutions. In terms of design, there is an LED screen on the side of the mobile power bank which can display real-time power. There are two USB-C ports on the top, one supports 100W, and the other supports 45W, which can charge almost all notebooks with Type-C ports on the market. There is also a USB-A port with 120W output, and the total output power of the three ports can reach 200W. At the same time, it supports 65W self-charging and can be filled within 2 hours if it goes flat.

The 25000mAh battery capacity is yet another interesting feature of the No. 20 Powerbank Pro. ZMI touts the big battery as capable of charging the iPhone SE 2020 from zero to full charge eight solid times and the MacBook Pro 1.3 times.

Xiaomi‘s ecological chain company has launched the ZMI Hand Warmer/Power bank. The device is both a hand warmer and a power bank. It carries a price tag of 89 yuan (~$13) and is currently on sale at ZMI’s Tmall, JD flagship store, Xiaomi Youpin, and Suning Tesco.

The hand warmer is equipped with a PTC self-limiting temperature heating technology, which is a patented design that is safe and reliable. The technology consists of the PID constant temperature control for precise control of the heating temperature, safe and stable. In the safe temperature range, it will heat up to the comfortable temperature of the human body, and the surface temperature can reach up to about 52℃.

The ZMI Hand Warmer/Power bank packs a huge 5000mAh battery capacity and when it is fully charged, the device can switch between low temperature and high temperature and can also be used continuously for 2~4 hours.

Apart from coming in handy during the winter the gadget will also prove useful during emergency situations to help you charge other gadgets. The power bank is capable of charging the iPhone12 and with ZMI’s USB cable, the charging time is touted to be 54 minutes shorter than using a 5W charger.

ZMI is a well-known brand of power accessories.  Recently, the company launched ZMI Multifunctional Power Bank in its home country China. Unlike other power banks in the market, this one can act as a USB hub and also features an HDMI port.

The newly launched ZMI Multifunctional Power Bank comes with a 10,000mAh capacity and is only available in gray color option. It measures 117.2 x 68.5 x 23.6mm in dimensions and weighs 243.5g. Further, it bears the model number QB816 and ships with a USB Type-C to Type-C cable (USB 3.2 Gen 1×1).

The product sports the following ports.

ZMI, a Xiaomi ecological chain company has launched yet another 6W charger in its portfolio, dubbed as ZMI 65W Travel Charger International Edition. Priced at 199 yuan, which is around $29, the product is now available for pre-order in China through JD.com.

Between the two, the ZMI Purpods Pro is the higher end variant and features the popular active noise cancelation feature that many expensive earbuds generally feature like the AirPods Pro. The earbuds feature dual ANC that offers up to 35dB noise reduction that enables users to better block the surrounding sound in their environment. This function is supplemented by three microphones, which also makes calls more clearer.

Xiaomi-owned Zimi Corporation is the manufacturer behind the popular ZMI brand of charging accessories such as power banks, cables, and chargers. Today, the company took to Weibo to announce the date for its annual Autumn product launch.

As revealed by the Weibo post, the event has been set for Thursday, October 15 in Nanjing and will begin at 14:00 hrs. The post also includes a large poster that shows three quadrilaterals with purple light shining through them.

A text on the poster reads “Listen To The Future” which hints at the possible launch of an audio-related product, probably a smart speaker of some sort.

At the moment, Zimi has two audio products – the ZMI Smart Alarm Clock Speaker that was announced back in 2019 and the ZMI Wireless Charging Bluetooth Speaker that can pass for a 3rd-gen Amazon Echo Dot. So another speaker wouldn’t be surprising.

Anyway, the launch is in a few days, so we might as well just wait for the device to be unveiled rather than trying to figure out what it is.

ZMI, the popular Chinese power accessory maker, has a new portable power bank. The new power bank was announced today in China and will go on sale tomorrow (now available).

The new power bank has a 10000mAh battery capacity and has four ports. The ports include two full-sized USB ports, a MicroUSB port, and a USB-C port. The selling point of the power bank is its small size which the manufacturer says is half the size of a mobile phone and its support for 22.5W 2-way fast charging.

This means you will be able to charge a device at a maximum power output of 22.5W as well as the power bank itself. The USB-C port allows for two-way fast charging, so you can use the port to charge the power bank if you connect it to a charger that outputs 22.5W. The MicroUSB port also supports 22.5W input while each of the USB-A ports and the USB-C port has a maximum power output of 22.5W at a time. ZMI says charging the power bank takes 3.5 hours when using a 22.5W charger.

The power bank has an ABS body with a white textured finish that should provide a firm grip when you hold it. It also supports the charging of low-current devices such as fitness trackers and Bluetooth headsets. All you have to do is double press the power button to enter into the low-current mode.

The MINI Power Bank will sell for ¥89 (~$13) and you can pick it up on JD.com, TMall, and on ZMI’s own online store.

The portable fan adopts a minimalist design, packing a compact body can be carried anywhere, whether it is outdoor or indoor. This is not the first of such design that you might have come across but what makes this model stand out is that it has a detachable base. ZMI, a subsidiary of Xiaomi launches a new Bluetooth speaker cum wireless charger in China for only 149 Yuan (~$21). Just last month, the company developed a similar product for Xiaomi. However, that one is priced higher at 249 Yuan (~$35) since it can hold phones both vertically and horizontally as well as charge them at a rate of 30W compared to 20W on this newly launched cheaper model.

The new ZMI Bluetooth speaker with 20W wireless charging support is different from the Xiaomi-branded product the company designed. This model comes in a short cylindrical shape similar to Amazon Echo Dot, whereas the expensive model comes in a rectangular form. It features Bluetooth 5.0 to connect with smartphones and other products to output 360-degree audio from its 5W speaker unit. Though it lacks NFC from the previous model, it comes with a ring of RGB LED lights on the top which can be customized as well as controlled by using the Xiaomi Home app.

As per the company, this Bluetooth speaker can wirelessly charge almost all smartphones with support for the Qi wireless standard. Since it is a 20W charger, it supports fast wireless charging on Xiaomi’s Mi 9, Mi 9 Pro, Mi 10, and Mi 10 Pro smartphones. It is capable of charging 50% of Mi 10 Pro’s battery within 39 minutes. Also, it can charge phones with cases of up to 4mm thickness. Hence, no need to remove the case off the phone whenever the user wants to charge it wirelessly.

Priced at 149 Yuan (~$21), the ZMI Bluetooth speaker cum 20W wireless charger is already available to purchase from Xiaomi, JD.com, and TMall.

Xiaomi’s Ecological chain company Zimi has just announced the ZMI alarm clock speaker earlier today (31st December 2019). It is the company’s latest product and supports a variety of functions and Xiaomi support.

Design

The ZMI alarm clock speaker features a round hemispherical design philosophy with a flat front panel for its display. The front is a pure black display that displays information in plain white texts. The main body is seen in white in the pictures but will also be available in other colors as well.

Specifications & Features

According to official notes, the ZMI alarm clock speaker features Bluetooth 5.0 technology for connectivity. It is equipped with a built-in NdFeB internal magnetic horns and has a battery life rated to last for up to 72 hours in a single full charge. The ZMI smart alarm clock is capable of being a program with up to 30 different alarm clocks and can be woken up with one click. Notably, it also supports Xiao AI to enhance the user experience via the speakers.

Price and Availability

The ZMI Smart Alarm Clock Speaker is currently will soon be available with a sale date set on January 15th at sometime around 10 o clock at the official online platform. Unfortunately, pricing details regarding the upcoming smart alarm clock speaker is still at large and have yet to be officially announced. Although, it is expected that the new product will be priced somewhere around 100 Yuan or roughly 15 US Dollars.

ZMI has a new power bank that is marketed to iPhone 11 owners but will actually work with practically any smartphone. The new power bank has a 10000mAh battery capacity and is exclusive to JD.com.

The ZMI Fast Charge Power Bank supports 18W PD two-way fast charge. It has a lithium-polymer battery that is enclosed in a fire-resistant and flame-resistant polycarbonate case. The power bank comes in white and black colorways with a textured finish to provide a firm grip when held.

ZMI’s new power bank has three output ports – two full-size USB Type-A port and a USB Type-C port that also doubles as an input port for charging the power bank. ZMI says the power bank can charge the iPhone 11 from empty to 55% in 30 minutes if you use a ZMI USB Type-C to Lightning Cable. This is faster than Apple’s own charger that charges the iPhone 11 to 50% in 30 minutes.

The power bank not only works with Apple’s new iPhones but is also compatible with older models, devices that support Quick Charge 3.0, Huawei’s Fast Charge Protocol, and Samsung’s Adaptive Fast Charge. The USB-C port also supports the Nintendo Switch’s Power Delivery fast-charging protocol (9V 2A).

Below are the supported power ratings for each of the ports:

• USB-A Output port: 5V 2.4A, 9V 2A, 12V 1.5A
• USB-C port: 5V 3A, 9V 2A, and 12V 1.5A.

ZMI claims that you can get a maximum power output of 15W from each port if you are charging three devices simultaneously. Apart from charging smartphones, tablets, and portable gaming consoles, the power bank can also be used to charge low current gadgets such as Bluetooth headsets and fitness trackers. All you have to do is double press the power button to put the power bank in low-current mode.

The ZMI ZMI Fast Charge Power Bank is already available for pre-order on Jingdong.com for ¥99 (~$14). The pre-order period runs from today up until December 30 when it will go on sale.

Apple dominated the smartphone market by capturing 66% of industry profits and 32% of total handset revenue in Q3 2019. The latest report from Counterpoint Research comes at a time when overall handset sales declined by 11% YoY to $12 billion due to the entry of numerous mid-range smartphones, and a combination of other factors. Among the major OEMs, Huawei and Samsung were the only ones able to increase their YoY revenue in 2019.

“Apple loyalists in Japan, the EU, and the US ensure that the company still operate at profit levels that other manufacturers only wish for”, revealed Counterpoint research analyst Karn Chauhan. Based on its current form, Apple is likely to maintain a steady lead of revenue inflow in the next few years. “With the holiday season right around the corner, Apple’s profits will only increase as the new iPhone lineup gains traction with the market,” Chauhan added.

A major factor contributing to the general fall in smartphone sales is the increased average life cycle of premium smartphones. Customers are yet to find a reason to upgrade, considering no major hardware changes recently. The situation is likely to improve with the rapid introduction of the 5G bandwidth. Samsung comes in second with a decent 17% share of the revenue, thanks to the Galaxy A-Series and Note 10 sales picking up.

In recent times, Chinese OEMs have introduced budget smartphones with top-end hardware, which are quite popular with customers. Chinese manufacturers have the luxury of operating at slim profit margins, helping them penetrate the global market. A few Chinese OEMs that have been following this strategy for the past couple of years, and developed a strong foothold outside the domestic market, have begun monetizing their user base by introducing financial services, and more.

However, the Chinese firms are finding it difficult to increase the retail price of smartphones due to the average customer holding on to existing devices for a longer duration. The only way out of the sticky situation is the introduction of 5G. Most of the major OEMs have already begun preparations in the wake of 5G commercialization. Perhaps the best demonstration of this strategy is the big four Chinese firms’- Huawei, Xiaomi, Vivo and Oppo– aggressively working on implementing the 5G spectrum to increase the MSRP on upcoming smartphones. However, with rising equipment costs, profit margins might not rise as expected.

Xiaomi‘s ecological chain company ZMI is gaining popularity for its wide range of charging solutions. The company’s products include superfast power banks, wired charger, wireless chargers, as well as car chargers. ZMI has just launched a 45W fast charging version of the ZMI car charger. The device is presently on sale at the ZMI Jingdong/Tmall official flagship store for 69 yuan ($9).

The fast car charger adopts dual-port independent output design consisting of a USB-A and USB-C port. The maximum output of both ports can reach 45W at the same time. The USB-C interface with the ZMI USB Type-C to Lighting data cable charges the iPhone 11 and it takes only 1 hour and 46 minutes to fully charge. ZMI 45W fast charge car charger has a built-in smart chip and can automatically adapt to different devices and effectively output the appropriate current. In terms of design, the fuselage is made of flame-retardant PC material, integrated injection moulding process, and double-sided metal elastic contact design, which is effective to prevent shock and not fall off easily. In terms of safety, it adopts imported main control chip, multiple protections such as overcurrent protection, short circuit protection, overvoltage protection and temperature protection.

ZMI doesn’t stop impressing us with its products. The 65W USB-C Power Delivery charger which costs less than $30 is a marvel. There is also the gorgeous PowerPack 20K Pro power bank which also supports 65W fast charging. Now, they are back with the zPower 30W dual-USB charger that costs less than $10.

The charger has a similar design to its 65W USB-C charger – a two-tone matte and gloss finish. It is also pretty small too; 28% smaller than Apple’s own 30W charger.

The ports are on the top – a USB Type-C port and a full-sized USB port. The USB-C port has a maximum power output of 30W while the USB-A port has a maximum power output of 27W. If you use both ports at the same time, you get a maximum power output of 24W combined.

ZMI says the zPower 30W dual-USB charger has an intelligent chip that will automatically determine the best charging voltage of any device connected to it. There are a bunch of safety measures too such as high voltage, low voltage, high current, and low current protections. A few weeks ago, ZMI released a 65W USB-C charger that is not only half the size of Apple’s 61W USB-C Power Adapter but also sells for less than one-third its price. The manufacturer is back with a new product – the ZMI PowerPack 20K Pro (ZMI 10 Pro in China) Power Bank which not only supports 65W output charging but also has a pretty cool trick.

Before we dive into the specs of the ZMI PowerPack 20K Pro power bank, let’s talk about its design.

Personally, this might as well be the most beautiful power bank I have come across in a while. Unlike most power banks that are available in white or black, ZMI’s latest portable battery pack comes in blue with a touch of gold for the power button, manufacturer’s name, and the technical details on the back.

The ZMI PowerPack 20K Pro is not just a beauty but also a beast. It has a battery capacity of 20,000mAh which means it is on the thick side (21 millimeters) and also heavy (440 grams). But with what it offers, you shouldn’t be bothered about its weight.
