International Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra, POCO X3 GT receive MIUI 13 update based on Android 12

The MIUI 13 update for eligible devices has been rolling out since January. The latest handsets to receive the fresh software are the international variants of Mi 11 Ultra and POCO X3 GT. The original Chinese version of the former phone was one of the first to get access, while the original model of the latter smartphone got the update only recently.

The Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra sold outside mainland China is the same as the one sold in the company’s home country. The MIUI 13 update is currently live for two international versions of the handset, namely EEA and Global. The new system update for these models arrives with build numbers 13.0.5.0.SKAEUXM and V13.0.2.0.SKAMIXM respectively.

On the other hand, the POCO X3 GT is nothing but a rebranded Redmi Note 10 Pro 5G. The MIUI 13 update for it is only available for the variant sold in Indonesia. The software update bears build number V13.0.1.0.SKPIDXM.

Apart from bringing new MIUI features, the latest OTA system update for the aforementioned smartphones also comes with Android 12. Hence, they are getting their first major MIUI and Android updates together.

With that being said, as usual, Xiaomi is seeding out the update in batches. Therefore, it will take some time to reach every user. We also expect the company to extend the availability of the update to more regional variants in the coming days.

Latest Apple iPad Air may feature M1 series chipset: Report

The Apple event is just a few hours away, but prior to the conference, a new report has revealed information related to the upcoming iPad Air. Apparently, the latest generation of iPad Air will feature the company’s proprietary silicon, the M1 series chipset.

For those unaware, the Cupertino based giant is set to unveil a number of new products during its March 8 event. This includes its newest affordable iPhone, the iPhone SE 3, a new Mac mini, 5th gen iPad Air, and possibly even a new external display as well. Now, a new MacRumors report revealed more information regarding the upcoming iPad model. Similar to the 2021 iPad Pro, the fifth gen iPad Air will also launch with an M1 chip.

As per previous rumors, the new iPad Air was initially believed to arrive with the A15 chip that supports 5G networking, like the iPad mini. Although, it seems that the brand may just launch it with an M1 chip, bringing it more in line with its higher end iPad models. However, Apple could skip some of the features on the premium iPad. In other words, the upcoming iPad Air won’t feature the Pro variant’s ProMotion display technology and LiDAR sensor on the rear camera module.

Talking about the chip itself, the M1 chipset features an 8 core CPU compared to the 6 cores on the A15 SoC. So, the iPad Air will offer improved performance over any A15 based iPad models. The company is set to begin its “Peek Performance” at 10 am Pacific Time today (8th March 2022), so stick around as we will be covering the conference.

The upcoming OnePlus Nord 2T has now hit the testing phase in India, a new report says, while also sharing a sketch of the rear camera module of the device.

Codenamed ‘Karen,’ the device is expected to succeed the OnePlus Nord 2 launched in July 2021. While it’s not certain if Karen is indeed the OnePlus Nord 2T, it sure does appear so.

Near-complete specs of the phone were leaked already a couple of months back but this is the first time we are getting a glimpse at its design — or at least a part of it. The sketch (via PriceBaba) depicts a fairly unique-looking camera module containing a couple of camera rings.

One would point out here that the ring has been borrowed from the Nord 2, but upon a closer look, you’d note that the second camera ring houses not one, but two camera lenses. From these, the one on the top has been labeled as an ultrawide lens while the other is expected to be a monochrome lens. The main camera, meanwhile, gets its own ring.

Additionally, the camera island houses flash units, split into warm and cool flashlights. Most phones combine the two into a single unit but they look to be separated on the Nord 2T for that oomph factor.

Lastly, the report says that the Nord 2T’s camera has curved edges. A previous leak had revealed that the setup will comprise 50MP primary, 8MP ultrawide, and 2MP monochrome cameras, which is the same as the Nord 2. Device launch in India is expected to be a couple of weeks away.

Sony is expected to launch the Xperia 10 IV smartphone in the coming months. The popular tipster @OnLeaks in collaboration with Zoutons has now shared the high-resolution renders of the device. The renders give away the design and also touts some of its specs.

The Sony Xperia 10 IV will bring the standard Sony design and is expected to be a mid-range phone. The renders reveal that it will come in two shades – White and Black. But as per the publication, the device will also come in Mint Green and Berry Blue colors.

The smartphone has a tall display at the front and a triple camera setup at the rear. This display is said to be a 6.0-inch OLED AMOLED display. It isn’t a full-screen panel and the bezels are visible. Unlike the Xperia 10 III, it will be a flat panel. The phone will have the following dimensions – 153.3 x 67.3 x 8.4mm. The device’s thickness will measure at roughly 9.0mm including the rear camera bump.

Speaking of the cameras, the Xperia 10 IV will have a vertical camera system, sporting three lenses. Unfortunately, the megapixel numbers aren’t revealed. At the top of the cameras, there’s the LED flash.

The smartphone has a side-facing fingerprint scanner and features a volume rocker above the scanner. Following up with its dimensions, it has a USB Type-C port at the bottom and comes with dual front-firing speakers.

The smartphone will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 690 octa-core SoC paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The phone will pack a 4,000mAh battery and will boot on the Android 11 OS.

As expected, Samsung has officially launched the Galaxy F23 5G in India. It is the first Galaxy F series smartphone of 2022. The handset not only offers 5G connectivity but also other interesting features. Let’s take a look at them, in addition to the phone’s price and the availability.

The Galaxy F23 5G features a plastic body like most Samsung smartphones, except for premium models. It is built around a 6.6-inch TFT LCD panel with a resolution of 2408 x 1080 pixels, up to 120Hz refresh rate, and a dewdrop notch. This screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5.

The handset is run by Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G SoC. It boots One UI 4.1 based on Android 12 with Samsung Knox security. The company promises 2 years of OS updates and 4 years of security updates.

For photography and videography, the device uses a triple camera system on the rear consisting of a 50MP Samsung ISOCELL JN1 primary sensor, an 8MP 123° ultra-wide unit, and a 2MP macro snapper. On the front, there’s an 8MP shooter for selfies and video calls.

The iQOO 9 SE has gone on sale in India. The handset was announced alongside the iQOO 9 and iQOO 9 Pro flagship phones last month. The iQOO 9 SE is a rebranded version of the iQOO Neo5s handset, which was announced in December 2021.

Since March 2, the iQOO 9 SE has been available for pre-orders through Amazon India and iQOO India’s online store. The handset has arrived in the country in two options such as 8GB RAM + 128GB storage and 12GB RAM + 256GB storage. They are priced at Rs 33,990 (~$442) and Rs 37,990 (~$494). It comes in Space Fusion and Sunset Sierra colors.

ICICI credit card owners can take advantage of a Rs 3,000 (~$39) flat discount while purchasing both variants of the iQOO 9 SE. The iQOO 9 SE has a 6.62-inch AMOLED FHD+ 120Hz screen. It has a 16-megapixel front-facing camera, and its back panel has a 48-megapixel (main, with OIS) + 13-megapixel (ultrawide) + 2-megapixel (depth) triple camera unit. The device runs on FunTouchOS 12 based Android 12.

Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 11 in India alongside the Redmi Note 11S in February. Less than a month from its announcement, the company has hiked the price of the device. Let’s check out how much the handset now costs in the region.

The Redmi Note 11 comes in three memory configurations in India. Xiaomi has only increased the price of the base variant, which features 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. Whereas, the other two versions still cost the same.

The base 4GB + 64GB variant of Redmi Note 11 debuted at ₹13,499 in India. Its price has been now incremented by ₹500. Therefore, it is currently listed at ₹13,999 on Amazon. Interestingly, this model is delisted on Mi.com.

On the other hand, 6GB + 64GB and 6GB + 128GB versions are available on both platforms priced at ₹14,499 and ₹15,999 respectively. All three variants can be availed in either Space Black, Horizon Blue, or Stardust White color options.

Apple iPhone 13 Dark Green color option could get unveiled today

Apple has scheduled a launch event today where the Cupertino-based technology giant will be launching the new iPhone SE and the new iPad Air, along with some other products.

Interestingly, if the reports are to be believed, then a new color option for the iPhone 13 series smartphones could also get unveiled at the same event. A render of the upcoming color for the iPhone has also leaked.

As per the report from YouTuber Luke Miani, a new Dark Green color option for the iPhone 13 lineup will be unveiled at the event today. Last year also, the company had introduced a new Purple color option for the iPhone 12 series.

Coming to the Dark Green iPhone 13, the color for the device falls somewhere between the Midnight Green color of the iPhone 11 Pro and the iPhone 12’s Mint Green. Apart from the new color option, everything else will remain the same.

The next-generation iPhone SE will come with support for 5G connectivity. It is expected to continue with the same design as the current generation model, which means that it could retain the Touch ID feature which isn’t found in any other smartphone from Apple.

Internally, the upcoming smartphone is expected to come powered by the Apple A15 Bionic processor, feature better cameras, and come with support for 5G. Similarly, the new iPad Air is also expected to have a new CPU and 5G support.

Recently, it was reported that a new monitor from the company as well as new Mac Mini or MacBook models and Apple Silicon’s M2 chip could also get announced at today’s event. To know for sure, we will have to wait for a few more hours.

Samsung will be announcing the Galaxy F23 5G later today at 12 pm (local time) in India. A couple of hours before the launch, tipster Abhishek Yadav has shared a poster that has revealed the pricing and first sale date of the F23 5G.

As can be seen in the poster shared by the tipster, the Galaxy F23 5G will have an introductory price tag of Rs 14,999 (~$195), which is surprisingly low for a Snapdragon 750G powered smartphone. The first sale of the F23 will be carried out on March 16. Since the authenticity of the poster could not be confirmed, it is advised to digest the leak with a pinch of salt.

Samsung Galaxy F23 5G specifications

The Galaxy F23 5G landing pages available on Flipkart and Samsung India’s website shows that it will come with a 120Hz refresh rate display, which will tag along with Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The smartphone will be powered by the SD750G, and it will carry support for 12 5G bands.

The rear shell of the Galaxy F23 5G has a 50-megapixel primary camera, which is coupled with a 123-degree ultrawide snapper and another camera. The device will house a 5,000mAh battery that carries support of 25W fast charging. A recent report claimed that Samsung will not be providing a charger in the retail package of the F23.

For security, the Galaxy F23 5G will be equipped with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. The handset will be available in two colors such as Aqua Blue and Forest Green. The handset appears to be identical to the recently unveiled Galaxy M23 5G. While Samsung has confirmed the key specs of the M23, it is yet to reveal its pricing and availability.

The company has been teasing the launch of its next product and if the rumors are to be believed, then the company is all set to launch its smartphone in the coming weeks. Now, ahead of that, an alleged image of the device has been leaked.

An alleged Nothing smartphone was spotted in the hands of Carl Pie and the image has been shared by Evan Blass. In the image, it appears that the company’s founder is showcasing the device to someone.

It isn’t very clear from the leaked image what the smartphone looks like but it reveals a black color for the back panel and a circular camera module with an LED flash. There’s a high probability that the device shown in the image is a prototype model.

A few weeks ago, there was a Twitter thread from Carl Pei which hinted that the company is working on a new smartphone powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon-series processor and running the Android operating system.

The company has also shared a photo on Twitter that shows a transparent frame of what appears to be a smartphone but it could also be something else. Given the teasers, it’s likely that the next product from the brand will also have a transparent body, similar to what it did with the Nothing Ear (1).

Nothing is working on five new products, ranging from a power bank and wireless earphones to a smartphone. Recent reports have revealed that the company’s upcoming power bank could be named Nothing Power (1) and the brand’s first smartphone could be called Nothing Phone (1). Both of these products are slated to launch this year.

Earlier this year, in the month of January, Vivo-backed iQOO launched its latest flagship smartphone, dubbed iQOO 9 Pro. Soon after that, the company also announced a special edition variant of the device.

Now, the iQOO 9 Pro Legendary Collector’s Edition smartphone is available for purchase in the Chinese market. It packs 12GB RAM and 512GB of internal storage and carries a price tag of 5,999 yuan which is about $950. This model comes with a free legendary version of the wireless flash charging base.

The smartphone features a 6.78-inch Samsung E5 AMOLED LTPO display panel with 2K screen resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of up to 1500nit. It also has a 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, and a 1000Hz instant touch adoption rate.

Under the hood, the device is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, coupled with 12GB RAM and 512GB internal storage. There’s a full-sensing control system 3.0 while the dual-control pressure-sensing area under the screen has been increased.

As for the camera, the device features a 50-megapixel primary camera with an outsole gimbal, along with another 50-megapixel fisheye ultra-wide-angle lens with support for 150° ultra-wide-angle shooting. The third sensor is a 16-megapixel telephoto portrait lens.

Design

The most attractive design belongs to the Realme GT Master Edition. First of all, it is thinner and lighter because it comes with a smaller display and a smaller battery. Further, it is available in a special Voyager Grey color option sporting a leather back cover designed by the known Japanese designer Naoto Fukasawa. Thanks to this design, it is definitely one of the most original and suggestive phones in the midrange segment. The POCO X4 Pro 5G is chunkier and bigger, but on the other hand, it comes with the IP53 certification making it dust resistant and splash resistant. There is definitely no challenge: the Realme mid-ranger has a better design.

Display

The specifications of the two displays are very close to each other. They both feature AMOLED panels with a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels and a 120 Hz refresh rate. The POCO X4 Pro 5G adds the HDR10 certification for great image quality on streaming platforms (as well as stereo speakers for a better audio experience), while the Realme GT Master Edition adds an in-display fingerprint reader (it is side-mounted on the POCO device). The POCO X4 Pro 5G is supposed to provide a better image quality thanks to the HDR10 certification, but the Realme handset still comes with a great display and a lot of people won’t notice the difference.

Hardware/Software

If you are looking for the device with the highest performance, then you should go for the Realme GT Master Edition without thinking twice. The reason is simple: it has a better processor. We are talking about the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G, one of the best midrange SoCs, running at a max frequency of 2.4 GHz. Unlike this device, the POCO X4 Pro 5G has expandable storage, but its Snapdragon 695 5G makes it less performing. Despite the POCO handset launched in February 2022, both the phones still run Android 11 out of the box. However, they will both be updated to Android 12. The Realme GT Master Edition already started to receive a stable update in the Indian market and it will come soon in the European market as well.

Camera

If we talk about the rear cameras, then POCO X4 Pro 5G wins the comparison thanks to a better 108 MP main sensor. It is able to capture a higher level of detail in a lot of scenarios if compared to the 64 MP main camera of its rival. The secondary cameras are the same: an 8 MP ultrawide lens and a 2 MP macro shooter. When it comes to the front cameras, the Realme GT Master Edition is the king with its 32 MP snapper.

Battery

The biggest advantage of the POCO X4 Pro 5G is the presence of a bigger battery: with a capacity of 5000 mAh, it is able to last longer on a single charge. There are no important differences in terms of charging speeds because the charging technologies are similar.

The LG 11TC50Q Chromebook laptop has been unveiled by the Korean tech giant and it comes with some exciting features in line with the new normal of online education. The LG 11TC50Q Chromebook has a 360-degree rotating touch display together with its body being waterproof and dustproof. Chromebooks have been growing in popularity due to their versatility and ability to replicate a PC experience while still maintaining compactness. The new LG Chromebook laptop has an 11.6-inch display that helps to provide a great learning experience when it is used as an educational tool.

The 360-degree rotating feature of the LG 11TC50Q Chromebook allows it to be used as either a tablet or a laptop. It has a front and rear camera, which, in combination with the in-built microphone, makes it possible to do video lectures seamlessly. Applications could be downloaded from the Chrome Web Store, Google Play Store, and other sources. The new LG Chromebook weighs just 1.44kg and can be carried easily around. There is a firm grip mechanism between the white section that connects the display and the keyboard, as well as the IP41 rating.

The LG 11TC50Q Chromebook has an Intel Celeron N500 processor with Intel UHD Graphics. The RAM available for the new Chromebook is 4GB together with 64GB of storage which can be scaled up with the microSD slot being utilized. The Baybot OpenAlert Smart Wireless Door Monitor has been launched in India with an Rs. 1,399 (~$18) price tag. The OpenAlert Smart door monitor is Mumbai-based Baybot’s first internet-based product and it is a cloud-connected, smart wireless door sensor. The sensor sends an alert whenever the connected door is opened or closed.

The Baybot OpenAlert is a compact device that can be connected to an assortment of door types and windows. It is a battery-operated device and being cloud-connected, it provides 24-hour, real-time monitoring of doors of different hues at any time. It sends alerts to the owner each time the status of the door changes (open or closed). The Baybot Open Alert can be connected to the Baybot smartphone app and voice assistant functionality is also available with the device. The supported voice assistants include Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa, and IFTTT.

The utility of the Baybot OpenAlert seems fuzzy, as a notification that the door’s status has changed does not offer any security as it were. Whether the device can interface with other smart home security gadgets that could pinpoint who opened the door is not clear at this time. The Baybot OpenAlert is available via the Baybot India official website and Flipkart for Rs. 1,399 (~$18), which is a pretty affordable price.

The Ducati Futa is the Italian company’s first foray into the electric racing bicycle segment of the EV market and it comes at a pricey €7,690 ($8,470). The Ducati Futa has just been launched and it provides some exciting features and an overall strong introduction of the company to racing e-bikes.

The Ducati Futa is a racing road bike designed for speedy rides in an efficient manner. Ducati has provided an overview of the features present in the Futa that will endear it to the racing segment, although at a huge price. The carbon fiber monocoque frame is designed for long-haul performances, in addition to the aerodynamic design. The bike is also comfortable and it is a culmination of innovative and efficient features that have evolved from the Ducati brand.

The Ducati Futa weighs about 12.4kg and has a 250Wh battery pack. An additional 250Wh Extender battery pack could be added to double the Ducati Futa’s riding range from about 80km to 160km. The FSA System HM 1.0 motor provides 250W of electric support which is just enough to provide a tailwind to the rider. The e-bicycle has a 2×12 speed wireless electronic shifting setup is found in the rear hub motor. Stopping power comes from the K-Force WE hydraulic disk brakes on the 160mm FSA rotors, while the GPS-enabled remote comes from Garmin.

The huge price of the Ducati Futa has not prevented the company from coming up with a limited edition model as well. Only fifty units of the new Futa Limited Edition have been produced. It retains the basic features of the Futa but features more efficient components and it is lighter. Ducati says the Futa Limited Edition was created for the most demanding riders who desire to enjoy the best in terms of technological performance and innovation. As per the price of the higher version of the Ducati Futa, it will cost €11,990 ($13,200), up to $5,000 more expensive than the basic model.

It remains to be seen how the new Ducati Futa electric bicycles fare in the market. To be sure, their prices were on the high-end of the spectrum, but Ducati hopes to leverage its track record to drive sales.

Vu has released three new smart TVs under its Masterpiece smart TV series in India today. The series named Vu Masterpiece Glo TV comes with a QLED screen, 120Hz refresh rate, Android TV OS, Armani gold metal aesthetics, and 3GB of RAM.

The series features screen sizes of 55-inch, 65-inch, and 75-inch. All three TVs come with 3840 x 2160 pixels resolution, 800 nits peak brightness, 120Hz refresh rate, 240Hz motion rate, 10-bit color depth, MEMC. In addition to this, the TV also comes with AMD FreeSync, ALLM (Auto Low Latency Mode), VRR (Variable Refresh Rate), full-array local dimming, and support for HDR gaming. The display supports Dolby Vision, HDR10+, and HLG content.

For gaming, the smart TV supports 4K at 120fps and HDR gameplay. The high refresh rate is perfect to play games in 4K resolution on modern consoles like the PlayStation 5 and Xbox series X.

The Vu Masterpiece Glo TV runs on Android TV OS with Google Assistant voice search, Google Play Store and services, Chromecast. The TV comes with several modes including AI Mode, Cricket Mode, and Cinema Mode. It features apps like Netflix, YouTube, Prime Video, Spotify built-in. The TV remote for these TVs also comes with hotkeys for the above-mentioned apps in addition to the Google Play button, which will prove to be very user-friendly.

In terms of Audio, the Vu Masterpiece Glo TV offers built-in 4.1 speakers with four master and one subwoofer, which offers 100W output. The speaker also supports Dolby Audio, Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital Plus, and Dolby Atmos. You can also connect to an external speaker using eARC, ARC, SPDIF, and Bluetooth.

The hardware of the Vu Masterpiece Glo TV consists of a quad-core SoC with 3GB of RAM and 16GB internal storage. The design of the smart TV features Armani gold aesthetics, bezel-less display, premium aluminum alloy material, and metal frame design. Other features include a far-field microphone, Bluetooth 5.0, 2.4/5GHz WiFi, HDMI CEC & eARC/ARC, four HDMI ports, and two USB ports.

Now, according to a MySmartPrice report, Dizo is planning to put the Watch R on sale again and this time the brand has managed to fix the various bugs and issues. Industry sources state that the smartwatches will go on sale again sometime next week on Flipkart.

The company has also been rolling out the v1.58 software patch for the Dizo Watch R which is expected to fix the issues for all the current smartwatch users. However, it still remains a mystery as to how these updates will be applied to the affected smartwatches that have constantly been in a boot loop or a black screen state. The Redmi Note 11 Pro series will comprise the Note 11 Pro 4G and Note 11 Pro+ 5G (rebranded Note 11 Pro 5G global). The duo is expected to come with a 6.67-inch FHD+ punch-hole AMOLED with a 120Hz refresh rate.

The smartphones will bring a sleek design and have a 16MP selfie camera on the front top. The Note Pro 4G will feature a quad-camera setup with a 108MP main lens, an 8MP ultra-wide sensor, a 2MP depth lens, and a 2MP macro sensor. On the other hand, the Note Pro+ 5G will have a triple camera system with a 108MP main lens, an 8MP ultra-wide snapper, and a 2MP macro lens.

Hardware and Software

Under the hood, the Note 11 Pro 4G is said to come powered by the MediaTek Helio G96 SoC paired with LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 2.2 internal storage. The Note 11 Pro+ 5G will have the Snapdragon 695 SoC, under the hood, paired with the same type of RAM and storage as on the Note 11 Pro 4G. Both will have a microSD card slot for additional storage.

The series will pack a 5,000mAh battery and will have support for 67W fast charging technology. For security, the series will have a side-facing fingerprint scanner. Both devices are expected to have dual-SIM support and IR Blaster support. Rumors reveal that the Note 11 Pro series for India won’t run on the latest Android 12 OS, rather it will boot on the Android 11 OS. There will be the MIUI 13 custom skin on top of it.

Pricing and Colors

The Redmi Note 11 Pro 4G and Note 11 Pro+ 5G are touted to come in different configurations. The Note 11 Pro 4G is said to start at Rs. 16,999(~$224) for the 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant. It will be priced at Rs. 18,999(~$251) for the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant. The phone will have three colors — Stealth Black, Phantom White, and Sky Blue.

On the other hand, the Note 11 Pro+ 5G is rumored to cost Rs. 21,990(~$290) for the 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant and Rs. 23,999(~$317) for the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant. The phone will have Stealth Black, Phantom White, and Mirage Blur colors.
