Fairphone 5 was officially announced on Aug. 30, 2023.

The smartphone comes with a 6.46 inches display with IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen technology that provides 1224 x 2700 pixels resolution and 459 PPI density. The display is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The smartphone runs on the Android 13 + planned upgrade to Android 14 operating system and is available in colors like Matte Black, Sky Blue, Transparent Edition.

It features Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO, BDS and USB Type-C 3.0, USB On-The-Go, DisplayPort. It features a triple camera of 50 MP (wide) + 50 MP (ultrawide) + TOF 3D (depth) while on the front, there is 50 MP (wide) for clicking selfies. The dimension of the smartphone is 162 x 75.5 x 10.5 mm.

The device is fueled with a removable Li-Po 4200 mAh battery + 30W wired, 50% in 30 min (advertised). The device is pack with 8 GB RAM with 256 GB internal storage which can be expanded with microSDXC (dedicated slot).
