The smartphone comes with 6.17 inches AMOLED display size and it comes with 1080 x 2400 pixels resolution. The device features IP68 dust/water resistance (up to 1.5m for 30 mins). The smartphone supports Nano-SIM and/or eSIM. The rear camera consists of a dual-camera: 50 MP (wide) + 12 MP (ultrawide) with Dual-LED flash, Pixel Shift, Auto-HDR, and panorama.

The front camera has 10.8 MP (ultrawide). The smartphone comes with a optical under display fingerprint, accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass, barometer, and thermometer (skin temperature). It features a USB Type-C 3.2, GPS (L1+L5), GLONASS (G1), BDS (B1I+B1c+B2a), GALILEO (E1+E5a), QZSS (L1+L5), and Bluetooth 5.3.

The smartphone is fueled by a Non-removable Li-Po 4485 mAh + 24W wired, PD3.0 + 12W wireless + Reverse wireless. Google Pixel 8 comes in various colors including Obsidian. It is built with a glass front (Gorilla Glass Victus 2), glass back (Gorilla Glass Victus), and aluminum frame.
