The smartphone is powered by a Mediatek MT6765 Helio P35 processor. It comes with GPU PowerVR GE8320. vivo Y16 runs on Android 11 + Funtouch 11.1 operating system. The phone comes with Dual SIM (Nano-SIM, dual stand-by).

The device is fueled by 5000 mAh battery. The sensors include side-mounted fingerprint, accelerometer, proximity, and compass. The dimension of the smartphone is 164 x 75.6 x 8.2 mm and it weighs 184 grams.

The device is packed with 13 MP (wide) + 2 MP (macro) on the rear side. On the front, there is a 5 MP (wide) camera. It is built with glass front, plastic frame, and plastic back while it is splashproof.
