The Xiaomi Mi Pad 7.9 is the original Mi Pad model of Xiaomi’s tablet line up. Manufactured by Foxconn, the device is offered in two storage sizes, at 16GB and 64GB, with six color variants.

The tablet is constructed with plastic unibody and its screen is protected by Gorilla Glass 3.0.

The Mi Pad 7.9 is powered by a NVIDIA Tegra K1 paired with 2GB LPDDR3, with expandable storage up to 128GB.

The screen is directly comparable to Apple’s iPad Mini with a 7.9 inch display with a resolution of 1536 x 2048 pixels at a pixel density 326 dpi.

Xiaomi’s Mi Pad lacks a cellular variant, no mobile network works with the device.

The Mi Pad 7.9 successor is Mi Pad 2.
