Xiaomi Redmi 2 prime is a slightly enhanced version of the Redmi 2 smartphone. The device comes with a 2 GB RAM and 16 GB internal memory expandable up to 32 GB with a dedicated microSD slot. This 133g weighing dual sim device runs on a Quad-core  Qualcomm  Snapdragon 410 processor and is powered by a Li-Po 2200 mAh removable battery.

The 4.7-inch capacitive touchscreen comes with 720 x 1280p resolution. The rear camera is a 8 MP, f/2.2, 28mm, autofocus lens while the front camera is a mere 2 MP lens. Additional features include 1.4 µm pixel size, geo-tagging, touch focus, face/smile detection, HDR etc.

Available in basic colors of white and dark gray the device runs on  Android OS, 4.4.4 (KitKat), upgradable to 5.1.1 (Lollipop) and is retailed at $110.
