<p>Big battery smartphones might finally become more common soon. Battery life is widely considered a key factor when buying a phone, with power users often making either some compromises or sticking with conventional models that let them down. But all of this might be changing very soon.</p>

<h2>Massive Battery Smartphones Are Coming Soon</h2>

<p>The latest rumor was shared by known tipster <em><a href="http://m.weibo.cn/detail/5187601914659415" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Digital Chat Station</a></em>, on Weibo. He claims that the recent silicon batteries on smartphones that are pushing the boundaries of battery density are merely the tip of the spear. Soon, devices with 7,000mAh battery packs or higher will become a lot more common. This trend is expected to kick off by the end of this year, with the initial wave likely dropping in China first.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="824" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Honor-X70-launch-date--1024x824.png?x10805" alt="Honor X70 launch date-" class="wp-image-695920" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Honor-X70-launch-date--1024x824.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Honor-X70-launch-date--300x242.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Honor-X70-launch-date--768x618.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Honor-X70-launch-date--1536x1236.png 1536w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Honor-X70-launch-date--696x560.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Honor-X70-launch-date--1068x860.png 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Honor-X70-launch-date--1920x1546.png 1920w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Honor-X70-launch-date--522x420.png 522w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Honor-X70-launch-date-.png 2000w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption>Honor X70</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>In other words, the wider release in the global market could arrive sometime next year. Due to the limitations of the current silicon batteries, companies are pushing their R&amp;D teams to experiment with new materials and shapes. So smartphones with batteries larger than 7,000mAh could also be the new standard very soon. In a couple of years, we might see devices push the limits with 10,000mAh cells as well, which is something we&#8217;ve typically seen with either concept or brick-like rugged phones.</p>

<p>A recent leak revealed that the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/07/10/honor-magic-8-pro-leak-suggests-flat-display-7000mah-battery-and-200mp-camera/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Honor Magic 8 Pro could debut with a 7,000mAh+</a> battery pack. Meanwhile, Xiaomi is working on the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/07/01/redmi-turbo-5-pro-poco-f8-8000mah-battery-rumor/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Redmi Turbo 5 Pro</a>, which may pack a battery that is larger than 8,000mAh. With silicon carbide battery tech, these models might not see added thickness. A great example is the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/07/08/honor-x70-launch-date/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">rumored Honor X70</a> that is expected to pack a huge 8,300mAh battery despite measuring around 7.9mm.</p>

                </p>
<p>91Mobiles, through their sources, shows us a pair of images that <a href="https://www.91mobiles.com/hub/samsung-galaxy-m12-rear-panel-design-exclusive/">show</a> the rear-panel view of the alleged <a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/tag/galaxy-m12">Galaxy M12</a>. Interestingly, the device has a two-tone finish, unlike the previous leak. The majority of the rear panel looks like a brushed textured finish. And a part of the rear fuselage below has a glossy paint job. Simply put, the two-tone looks something like the first <a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/product/google-pixel">Google Pixel</a> but in reverse.</p>
<p>However, the camera layout is similar to a squircle design with a cut-out for four sensors inside the housing. There is also a small cut-out below probably for the LED flash. Another image, which is basically a flip-over of the rear panel, shows the model number inside. Looking at it closely, we see SM-M127F written on it. All this not only strengthens the existence of the Galaxy M12 but also reveals a unique rear-design compared to its predecessor, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/samsung-galaxy-m11/">Galaxy M11</a>. Anyway, let&#8217;s wait for more leaks to ascertain this claim.</p>
<h4><strong>Galaxy M12 Specifications(Expected)</strong></h4>
<p>Although it&#8217;s very early to talk about the specs of Galaxy M12, we might have a few guesses here. According to the early reports, the device might have a 6.7-inch display with a punch-hole for selfies. Additionally, it might feature a whopping <a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/tag/7000mah-battery">7,000mAh battery</a> which currently exists only on the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/samsung-galaxy-m51/">Galaxy M51</a> in the M series.</p>
<p>Also, if we look at the live shots of the prototype, there is no fingerprint sensor at the back. Considering its a budget device, we speculate that <a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/tag/samsung">Samsung</a> might place it at the side onto the power button. That said, Sadly, we might have to wait for a bit to know more about the specifications.</p>
