70mai has launched its latest dash cam, the 4K A810S, designed to offer high-resolution recording with advanced safety features. The new dash cam is available now on 70mai’s official website, starting at $199.

The A810S records in 4K at 3840 x 2160 and uses Sony’s Starvis 2 IMX678 image sensor. 70mai says the combination targets real-world scenarios where many 4K dash cams still struggle, including backlit roads, tunnel entry and exit transitions, and harsh weather glare.

The company pairs the sensor with its MaiColor Vivid+ processing and an ROI algorithm that prioritizes details in specific areas of the frame. This approach improves clarity for license plate recognition when lighting conditions change quickly.

The A810S also adds a set of safety and convenience tools, including built-in GPS and ADAS features. GPS logs your speed and route data in real time, while ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) provides alerts when it detects potential hazards on the road.

The A810S supports buffered emergency recording, saving up to three minutes of footage from before an impact to provide a fuller context around an incident. It also includes an adjustable G-sensor that lets you fine-tune impact sensitivity, which helps cut down on false triggers from rough or uneven roads.

For drivers who park in public areas, the A810S supports AI motion detection and 24/7 parking surveillance when paired with a hardwire kit. If it detects suspicious movement, the system starts synchronized dual-channel recording for a multi-angle view.

You can choose either an in-cabin rear camera or an exterior backup camera, and both options record 1080p HDR footage. The dash cam also supports 4G connectivity, enabling remote monitoring through the 70mai app with live streaming, parking alerts, real-time route tracking, and a Find My Car feature.

The A810S replaces traditional lithium-ion batteries with a heat-resistant supercapacitor, which improves longevity and safety. It is rated to handle temperatures up to 85°C and supports microSD cards up to 512GB. Wi-Fi 6 is also onboard, allowing faster video transfers to a paired smartphone.

The camera offers multi-language voice commands, so drivers can control it without taking their hands off the wheel. It comes with a 3-inch IPS screen for quick playback and settings, and a USB Type-C port for power.

Those of you who drive should know that Dash Cam can save you a lot of trouble in various traffic accidents and can protect your own safety and interests. Maybe you guys don’t know much about the brand 70mai. They were founded in 2016 and specialize in smart car electronics products. They have their own R&D department and factory, with Dash Cams ranging from beginner models to premium 4k resolution with drivers-assistance models. Furthermore, they pay a lot of attention to product design. They have won iF and Red Dot awards. You may have heard of their best-selling Dash Cam, 70mai Dash Cam Pro. And this 70mai Dash Cam Pro Plus+ is its fully upgraded model. Here’s a table so you can clearly see where exactly it’s been upgraded.

The usual rules first look at the unboxing. In addition to a front and a rear Dash Cam, the package also includes some USB cable, a Wiring Crowbar, Camera Holder, Dual USB Car Charger and some Sticker. If you buy the Hardwire Kit, you will also receive a pack of cables. Ensures power for the Dash Cam to continue operating while the car is parked.

The Front Dash Cam has a very simple design and the frosted surface feels great. There is only one 2-inch screen and five buttons on the back. The sides are DC/IN port, AV/IN port and Macro SD Card slot. both front and rear Dash Cam lens parts can be rotated close to 90°, you can easily adjust the angle, so you don’t have to care too much about the position when installing the Dash Cam.

My ideal Dash Cam must take footage with a wide and clear field of view. 70mai Dash Cam Pro Plus+ uses a Sony sensor that supports 1944P recording, and with a 140° ultra-wide-angle lens, it is no problem to meet my needs. And even when the sun is shining directly on the Dash Cam, it is also able to ensure that the footage will not be affected by the sun to become too dark. The F1.8 aperture and 6P lens ensure more light intake and stronger anti-glare capability.

If you have the budget, you can also buy its rear camera. The rear camera is relatively ordinary, a 1080p 130° Wide Angle Camera, but considering that you only need to add about $20 to get an additional Rear Camera that can access the Front Camera, I think it’s worth it. And as you can see, the lens quality is also good, with it to protect your butt should be more than enough.

I wouldn’t call the 70mai Dash Cam Pro Plus+ ” close to perfect” if it only did a good job of basic footage recording. It adds all the features you can think of, and is probably the most comprehensive Dash Cam I’ve ever seen. I’ll pick a few things to talk about.

Have you heard of ADAS? The full name is “Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems”. The ADAS detects your surroundings and uses voice alerts to warn you of safety problems. For example, if it recognizes vehicles ahead of you, it can measure the distance to prevent forward collisions. 

Unlike the previous Dash Cam, you don’t need to remove the Macro SD Card if you want to view footage on your computer or phone. It has a built-in Wi-Fi module that allows you to view footage directly on your phone, or you can download it. It also has a built-in GPS, you can also view your trip on the app. It’s really convenient.

The 70mai Dash Cam Pro Plus+ is also able to perform 24-Hour Parking Surveillance. It can keep monitoring when you are away. It can start recording when a collision is detected. It can also record time-lapse, up to 45 hours on a 16G SD card. However, all of the above features require you to purchase a Hardwire Kit and install it. We recommend watching this official demo video to see the installation process. And you need to pay attention to the car’s battery to use these features, too long without starting the car will lead to an empty battery.

The only regret I think is that the 70mai Dash Cam Pro Plus+ does not support Voice Control anymore. The previous Dash Cam Pro supported this function. But considering the infrequent use, the absence of this feature is also acceptable.

Why I think the 70mai Dash Cam Pro Plus+ is the almost perfect Dash Cam in my mind, because it records clearly, it’s easy to use, and it’s important that even you buy all the accessories it costs less than $100. Yes, we could find better Dash Cams than the 70mai Dash Cam Pro Plus+ if we wanted to. But at this price point, no one can beat it overall.

The 70mai A800 is an in-car DVR that delivers day-and-night cinema-quality (up to 4k resolution) images in dual vision. It’s equipped with the leading ADAS (Advanced Driving Assistant System) tech that boosts your driving safety. When the vehicle is parked, the parking mode will monitor the car’s surroundings and automatically start recording if any collision is detected. Recordings are stored locally and can be viewed in-app for on-site download and instant sharing.

Built around a powerful Sony IMX 415 CMOS image sensor, the A800 dashcam records 4K UHD videos with a wide-angle 140° FOV.
