8848, the Chinese luxury smartphone brand, has just launched a new and very expensive version of its existing M6 Luxury smartphone. The 8848 M6 Private Customized Dragon Limited Edition is the company’s latest ultra premium grade flagship that is being offered from a starting price of 4,400 US Dollars.

Design

The design of the newly launched luxury handset is probably its most striking aspect. Just from the first look, one can tell that the smartphone is built with premium materials that are expensive. The 8848 M6 Private Customized Dragon Limited Edition is essentially the 8848 Titanium M6 that went on sale earlier this year, with an identical form factor. However, what sets the device apart is the level of detail in the design that can be seen on the rear. The company has called on experts to design its unique rear panel that resembles more of an art piece than just an attractive rear panel.

Specifications

Under the hood, A Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC runs the device, which sports a 6.01 inch AMOLED display. It supports dual mode 5G SA/NSA and has a 64 megapixel triple camera setup on the rear and a 16 megapixel dual cameras on the front. The device is powered by a 4,380mAh battery and can be fast charged by up to 27W when wired and up to 10W wirelessly. The M6 Private Customized Dragon Limited Edition also runs Android 10 out of the box.

Price

The device arrives in multiple variants that feature different, materials, configuration, and even cost. This includes:

• The Vermilion Cowhide or Azurite Leather is the first variant that arrives with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. This version sports designs made from a titanium alloy that is gold plated and also features natural diamond and yellow sapphire synthetic ruby. It is priced at 29,999 Yuan (roughly $4,400).
• The Blue Dragon Lizard Skin variant is more expensive than the previous one, with a price tag of 35,999 Yuan (roughly $5274). It also features the same design and is built with the gold plated titanium alloy and precious stones as well. However, it offers a larger 1 TB worth of storage.
• The Basalt Crocodile Leather version is the last and most expensive variant of the series with 12GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage. It is priced at 44,999 Yuan (roughly $6600) and is by far one of the most expensive smartphones from the company.

8848, the Chinese luxury phone manufacturer has begun taking pre-orders for its 5G smartphone – the 8848 Titanium M6. The phone is powered by the Snapdragon 865 chipset, and with it being a luxury phone, it doesn’t come cheap.

The 8848 Titanium M6 5G has a starting price of ¥12,999 (~$1830) and goes up to ¥29,999 (~$4225). That sure is a lot to pay for a phone. The brand definitely has its target market and it sure wants to cater to their different styles which explains why there are 11 different variants of the phone. The 8848 M6 has a 6.01-inch primary display in front and a 1.19-inch circular display on the back. It has triple rear cameras with support for 4K video recording. The RAM is LPDDR5 and the storage is UFS 3.0. It also supports Wi-Fi 6, packs a 4380mAh battery, and runs Android 10.

You can pre-order for the phone on JD.com and Tmall. A deposit of ¥500 is required while full payment has to be made between April 8 and April 11.

A few weeks ago, Chinese luxury smartphone manufacturer, 8848, announced its upcoming 5G luxury smartphone, the Titanium M6. The Titanium M6 won’t be available until next year when the Snapdragon 865 will already be shipping to manufacturers. While we wait, 8848 has announced that they will unveil a new phone called the Titanium M5+ on November 11.

The 8848 Titanium M5+ is an upgraded version of the Titanium M5 with some changes in the design and the internals but it doesn’t deviate from the manufacturer’s design language.

The teaser poster shows the phone has a blue leather-covered back, gold frame, and what appears to be titanium around the circular secondary display. The housing for the camera and LED flash has also been redesigned.

Unconfirmed reports say the phone will keep the 5.65-inch display of the Titanium M5 and even its Snapdragon 835 processor. However, it will come with 8GB of RAM, 2GB more than that of its predecessor. The storage should remain 256GB.

Another big upgrade is in the camera department. 8848 is swapping the 12MP sensor for a 48MP sensor. This should result in better pictures when it comes to taking photos in low light using the Titanium M5+.

The rest of the specs are unknown but 8848 has revealed the price before the launch and as expected it is not cheap. The Titanium M5+ will cost ¥13,999 (~$1984) when it launches. The M5 is currently priced at ¥12,999 (~$1842).

Chinese luxury smartphone manufacturer, 8848, had an event today in Beijing where it discussed its plan for the future. The company, which celebrated its 5th anniversary this year, also announced its first 5G smartphone, the 8848 Titanium M6.

The 8848 Titanium M6 is not only the first luxury 5G smartphone but also the first Snapdragon 865-powered device. The phone has a 6.01-inch AMOLED display, 12GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. It also has a 64MP camera that can shoot 100MP photos.

The rest of the M6’s specs were not revealed and that is because the phone will not be available until the first quarter of 2020 when Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 865 processor will be already available.

8848 also announced a plan called “5G Zero Distance”. The plan has been designed to make switching to 5G easy. 8848 says to subscribe to the plan, all you have to do is purchase its current phone, the 8848 Titanium M5, and when the M6 launches next year, you will be able to purchase it at the same price you bought the M5.

8848 also announced a personal assistant service for its customers. While other companies are launching AI-based smart assistants, 8848’s assistant service is made up of real people that will handle trivial tasks for customers. The company said it believes smart assistants can’t provide good enough services to people, so it decided to launch a personal assistant service made of real people.

Chinese luxury smartphone maker, 8848 Titanium, has announced that it will have an event on October 18. The event which will be a 5G strategy conference will see the manufacturer announce its plans for the 5G era and most likely, its first 5G luxury smartphone.

8848 Titanium has released a poster for the event but it doesn’t reveal any info about the upcoming device. 8858 Titanium 5G phone might as well be the first luxury 5G smartphone when it launches on Friday.

We expect the upcoming phone to maintain the design of its predecessors such as a hexagonal titanium frame, leather-covered back, gold screws, and sapphire glass-covered camera lens and display with customization options to cater to individual requests. It should also be hand-assembled like a luxury watch.

8848 phones also have security software features such as a private mode and a work mode. This will allow users to have two accounts for apps such as WeChat. They also have an advanced call manager with features such as call encryption and call spam blocker. Some of their phones also have a secondary display on the back.

8848 Titanium phones are usually powered by a Snapdragon processor, so this 5G phone should feature the Snapdragon 855 processor along with the Snapdragon X50 modem.

8848 is a Chinese company known for releasing very expensive and original luxury phones. The latest handset released by the Chinese company is the M4 Titanium, one of the most refined smartphones in terms of aesthetics. It features a titanium alloy, head layer cowhide, a sapphire glass for the display, ceramic and more.

Now it looks like this device released in 2017 has a successor. A new handset dubbed 8848 M5 Titanium has just been certified by TENAA. The Chinese regulatory handset has published the images and the main specs of the upcoming flagship. It is not so different from its predecessor as it retains its hexagonal form factor as well as a leather back and a dual display. The main display is a TFT panel with a size of 5.65 inches and a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2016 pixels, while the secondary display is placed on the back — it is circular and it resembles a watch.

Indeed, the M4 is able to show time and the most important notifications on the back. 8845 M5 comes with a quad-core SoC running at a frequency of 2 GHz, 6 or 8 GB of RAM and 128 or 256 GB of internal storage depending on the configuration. It also packs a 16 MP main camera, a 12 MP camera, Android 8.1 Oreo and a 3450 mAh battery.

Chinese company 8848 Phones has launched a high-end, customized titanium smartphone with a price tag that can keep our mouth agape. The company makes phones that looks similar in design to those made by London-based company Vertu.

The smartphone is jointly developed by 8848 in partnership with the Palace museum which runs the Imperial Palace housed inside the Forbidden City in China. The phone is said to have been designed by designer Lawrence Hsu and has a dragon design themed around the art works inside the Imperial Palace in China.

The phone does not only adopt a high price tag based on the design alone but more because sophisticated features it pack. There is an 18K gold dragon sculpture engraved at the back and it also feature calf-skin leather at the back.  The phone comes in black, gray, pink, and Bright yellow color variants.

Specs wise, the 8848 phone sports a 5-inch FHD display and is powered by an Octa-core Qualcomm chipset. Also, there is a memory combination of 4GB RAM and 128GB of storage on the device. On the camera aspect, there is a large 21MP main camera at the rear and a whopping 30MP front facing selfie snapper. The phone is also a dual SIM card / dual standby phone.

The 8848 Imperial palace themed phone carries a massive $2,880 price tag (around 19,999 Yuan) and would likely be on sale during the ongoing New Year sales.

Luxury phone maker, 8848, has announced a new phone called the 8848 Titanium M3 with a starting price of 9999 Yuan ($1493)!!!

The founder of the company, Du Ying says the company’s aim is to make secure and high-taste phones for business folks. He also mentioned that a sale of 100,000 units a year is a win for the company.

The M3 is made of hand polished titanium, sapphire glass, high- tech ceramic, and calfskin from Netherlands. It has a 5” FHD screen, 4GB of RAM, 128GB of built-in storage, a 21MP rear camera, 3MP front facing camera, and an unspecified octa-core snapdragon processor. The phone also has full network support.

On the software side, the phone’s encryption prevents calls from being traced; mobile banking is secure, and that the OS is ”isolated” from the call history, contacts, and messages.

This isn’t the first phone from the company which is sometimes referred to as Vertu of China; last year they released a model called the 8848 Ti Mobile.

The base version of the Titanium M3 has a price of 9999 Yuan ($1493), there is also a 12,999 Yuan ($1941) fashion edition, and a high-end version that costs 15,999 Yuan ($2389).
