A recent law by the European Union has forced Apple to adopt a USB Type-C port for charging Apple iPhone. Now, it is being reported that the Cupertino-based tech giant will also adopt USB-C ports for other products.

The latest report from Mark Gurman of Bloomberg claims that Apple will transition to USB-C ports for all the AirPods models as well as the Mac accessories like Magic Keyboard and Magic Trackpad from the year 2024.

Mark Gurman believes that Apple will beat the legislation’s date of application in late 2024 with most of its products. The iPhone 15, launching next year, will come with a USB Type-C port, while the iPad is expected to switch to USB-C by the end of this year.

He notes that all AirPods models, as well as the Magic Mouse, Magic Keyboard, and Magic Trackpad, will need to make the switch when new versions are released. He anticipates several major Mac updates next year, including a new iMac and a Mac Pro.

It is also being said that moving to USB Type-C port on its devices will just be a temporary solution to avoid getting banned in the European market. Eventually, the company aims to shift entirely to inductive charging.

ZTE-backed Nubia’s Red Magic has today announced that the company’s Red Magic Mobile Game Expansion Dock will be officially available for purchase in its home country China from 6th May for an introductory price of 168 yuan which is around $26. The company has also shared a poster making the announcement, giving us a look at the upcoming device. It shows that the Expansion Dock comes with an elbow design, which can expand the Type-C interface to three interfaces.

The dock can be used for a full-featured Type-C interface with the support of convenient high-definition screen projection. It can also be used for charging with support for PD fast charging. Lastly, it can be used a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The company has unveiled designs for a bunch of products that are being referred to as “music-link” which is basically a collection of devices centered around a pair of True Wireless Earphones. Sound: Not ‘Bass’ heavy

If you’re a person who listens to a lot of bass heavy electronic or hip-hop music, this headset is not for you. Everything that I played on the Basso wireless headset, has been very well defined. I mostly listen to EDM, House, Classical, Acoustic, and Lyric songs, and everything I listened to on this headset was very crisp and clear, all the highs, mids, and the lows are very well defined and clear.

Carry Case

The carry case provided with the Basso headphones is very good. In fact, it’s very similar to what popular brands include with their headphones. The case is very rugged, strong, and will provide protection for the headphones when travelling, and leave some extra room for some memory cards, USB drives, and almost anything and everything that you can fit into it. It also has a carabiner whtich you can use to hang to your backpack, your belt, etc.

Should you buy it?

YES! A big yes. No matter which genre of music you listen to, this headset does the job, and it does it well. If you only want a “bass heavy” experience, this is probably not for you. I listen to a lot of bass heavy music, and I am very well pleased with the performance of the Mixcder Basso wireless sports headset, and I would recommend you give them a shot as well, especially since, they are available on an all-time low price of $25.99 from Amazon.com, from the regular price of $69.99.
