Acer has launched the latest Nitro 5 laptop with 12th Gen Intel Core i5 and Core i7 processors respectively in India. The new models start at Rs. 84,999 ($1,120) and packs up to 1TB of storage and up to 16GB of RAM. The RAM capacity can also be upgraded to 32GB.

The all-new Acer Nitro 5 laptops are the upgraded version of last year’s models. They come with a screen-to-body ratio of 80%, 165Hz display refresh rate, and an impressive response rate under 3ms. The two models run on Windows 11 operating system and sport an efficient design with two cooling fans. Each of the models also has four exhaust ports. The fan speed, CPU/GPU clock, and several other aspects can be regulated using the NitroSense utility application. There is a dedicated NitroSense key in the laptop to deliver these functionalities at the touch of a button.

The Acer Nitro 5 (2022) gaming laptops have a 15.6-inch display with In-Plane Switching (IPS) technology. The Acer ComfyView LED-backlit TFT LCD provides an aesthetic appeal for the laptops. The 16:9 aspect ratio is supported and the GPU is Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050/ 3050 Ti with 4GB dedicated GDDR6 VRAM. Connectivity for the new laptops is achieved through Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1. Several USB ports are available as well as HDMI, while the battery capacity is 57.5 Wh with a 3-pin 180W AC adapter. The new Acer laptops come in only black color and they weigh approximately 2.6kg.

The new Acer laptops are available via Acer’s online store, Amazon India, and other retail outlets. While the Acer Nitro 5 with Intel Core i5 processor is priced at Rs. 84,999 ($1,120), the Intel Core i7 version with 16GB/512GB RAM/storage combination will cost Rs. 1,09,999 ($1,450).

Taiwanese tech giant Acer has launched a new gaming laptop under the Nitro series. The Acer Nitro 5 is a trimmed-down version from the product bearing the same moniker that was launched in Germany packing a Ryzen 7 5800H processor and Nvidia RTX 3080.

The new Nitro 5 laptop is equipped with a 15.6-inch IPS display with FHD resolution, 144Hz refresh rate, and a 3ms response time. The laptop features a full-size keyboard equipped with 4-zone RGB backlighting with a 1.6mm travel distance. It also comes with the Killer Ethernet E2600 Wi-Fi 6 card with support for 2×2 MU-MIMO technology. Keeping the light on is a 57.5Wh battery that can provide up to 10 hours of regular usage.

The Nitro 5 also comes with Bluetooth 5.0 capabilities, an HDMI port, three USB 3.0 ports, a single USB 3.1 port, and a 3.5mm audio jack. It also comes with DTS X audio codec which brings optimized bass, loudness, speaker protection with up to 6 custom content modes by smart amplifier.

The Acer Nitro 5 is powered by a 10th Gen Intel Core i5 processor that can turbo up to 4.5GHz. For graphics, it packs an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 graphics card with 6GB of dedicated GDDR6 VRAM which is upgradeable to 32GB. There are also two slots for M.2 PCIe SSDs. The laptop runs on Windows 10 operating system.

As for the pricing and availability, the Acer Nitro 5 carries a price tag of Rs. 89,999 (~$1236) and is up for grabs already on Amazon India. It comes in Obsidian black colour only.

Computer maker Acer is making progress in the design and production of a gaming laptop that combines AMD’s incoming Ryzen 7 5800H processor with the Nvidia RTX 3080 GPU. This information was provided by German retailer ElectronicPartner, as they have listed the company’s next-generation Nitro 5 ahead of its potential release at CES 2021. The listing has been removed from the retailer’s website, though.

The gaming laptop is among the first devices to pair AMD’s Zen 3 and Nvidia’s Ampere architectures. It is reported to have an octa-core Ryzen 7 5800H processor, capable of enhancing the base and boost clocks to 3.2GHz and 4.4GHz, respectively alongside the Nvidia RTX 3080 graphics card with 8GB of memory and likely GDDR6.

There is a high possibility that this could be the mobile version of the Ampere GPU, which will likely feature cut-down specifications. The Acer Nitro 5 gaming laptop has a 17.3-inch FHD screen, refresh rate of 144 Hz, 32GB of DDR4 memory, and a massive 1TB SSD.

The gaming laptop features a full-size keyboard equipped with backlighting, a battery capable of working up to eight hours, together with Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0 capabilities. The laptop also has one HDMI port, three USB 3.0 ports, a single USB 3.1 port, and a 3.5mm audio jack.

The listing by ElectronicPartner enforces the view that Acer may also be releasing a trimmed-down variant of the Nitro 5 that could have either an Nvidia GTX 1650 with 4GB of GDDR6 memory or an AMD Radeon GPU.

According to the German retailer, the Acer Nitro 5 will carry a hefty retail price of €1,948.61 (about $2,372). The laptop is also expected to adopt a cheaper price when it is announced for the US market.
