Blackview BV9900 is the company’s annual flagship smartphone and of course, it has attracted high attention from media and users. According to the information we have so far, it will have flagship-grade specs and -as always- excellent waterproof, dustproof, and drop-proof performance. But what about its design? The Chinese manufacturer released a video yesterday to demonstrate the design of the upcoming device.

The phone is very compact as it sports a 5.84″ display. Its dimensions are 156.5 x 78.3 x 14.2mm and it weighs 264g. As you can imagine, it can be controlled singlehandedly thanks to its small size. The front panel is covered by Gorilla Glass 5 which raises the bar for protection against drops. On the top of the display, the waterdrop notch houses a 16MP selfie camera that supports bokeh effect and beauty mode.

The frame of the device is made of aluminum alloy and on the left side, it hosts the SIM slot and a programmable button that can be customized to trigger a shortcut function or quickly open a dedicated app. On the right side lies the fingerprint sensor for quick unlock while below it you can find the barometer, air quality sensor, and hygrometer. The top is clean and at the bottom side, there’s the Type-C charging port that also acts as a headphone jack.

The back of the phone is covered with high-class textured silica gel, producing a warm feeling and protecting the device from drops and scratches. The quad-camera is located at the top left and hosts a 16MP ultra-wide camera, a Sony® IMX582 48MP camera, a 5MP depth camera, a 2MP macro camera, and an LED flash. On the bottom left, the heart rate sensor and an ultraviolet intensity meter are placed.
