Ai+ Smartphone has announced a long-term initiative focused on improving smartphone security through community participation. Called Project Trust+, the program invites ethical hackers, developers, and security researchers to identify vulnerabilities and contribute to building a more secure smartphone ecosystem over the next five years.

Ai+ Smartphone launches Project Trust+

AI+ Project Trust+ initiative

As part of the initiative, Ai+ Smartphone has committed Rs 100 crore (~$10.5 million) over five years, allocating Rs 20 crore (~$2.3 million) annually to support the program. Rather than limiting security testing to internal teams, the company plans to work with independent researchers who can evaluate its software, test security mechanisms, and responsibly disclose potential vulnerabilities before they affect users. Ai+ says the initiative is intended to create an open environment where collaboration helps strengthen the security of its products.

The company believes smartphone security should evolve continuously as new threats emerge. With Project Trust+, Ai+ aims to encourage ongoing participation from India’s cybersecurity community instead of treating security as a one-time milestone. The program is also expected to promote greater transparency and accountability by allowing external experts to play a role in identifying and resolving security issues.

Project Trust+ complements the company’s broader strategy around privacy and trusted software, including NxtQuantum OS, its sovereign mobile operating system. According to Ai+, the initiative reflects its goal of building devices that are not only secure by design but also strengthened through regular community feedback. Interested developers, ethical hackers, and security researchers can apply to participate through the registration link available on CEO Madhav Sheth’s Instagram profile.

Ai+ says the program represents a shift toward collaborative security development, where improvements are driven by continuous testing and public participation. As smartphones become increasingly central to everyday life, initiatives like Project Trust+ could encourage more companies to work closely with the cybersecurity community to strengthen consumer trust.
