Xiaomi has introduced a new smart air conditioner for global markets called the Mijia Air Conditioner GentleAir. Unveiled during the company’s Vienna launch event, the new model focuses on reducing the direct cold airflow that many users find uncomfortable with traditional AC units.

To achieve that, Xiaomi has equipped the GentleAir with redesigned air outlets featuring micro-hole flaps that spread airflow more evenly across the room. Rather than blowing a concentrated stream of cold air, the system is designed to create a softer and more diffused airflow pattern.

The air conditioner offers three airflow modes. Halo Flow circulates air around the room while minimizing direct drafts, Canopy Flow directs cool air from above for broader coverage, and Carpet Flow pushes warm air upward from near the floor when heating is enabled. Four-way swing support is also included.

Xiaomi says the unit can cool a room in as little as 30 seconds and provide heating in around 60 seconds under suitable conditions. A Turbo Mode is available as well for users who want maximum output.

On the efficiency side, the company claims its AI Energy Saving mode can reduce power consumption by up to 24.5%. The system adjusts operation based on environmental conditions and usage patterns collected over time, although actual results will vary slightly depending on factors such as room size, temperature, and installation conditions.

The GentleAir is available in four capacity options, including 2.6kW, 3.5kW, 5.2kW, and 7.0kW variants, allowing it to cover a range of room sizes.

Like most recent Xiaomi home appliances, the air conditioner connects to the Xiaomi Home app for remote controls, scheduling, and status monitoring. Google Assistant support is also available for voice commands.

Pricing starts at €569 in global markets. Availability has already begun through Xiaomi’s online stores and selected retail partners, though regional pricing and launch timelines may differ depending on the market.

There are also some engineering tweaks aimed at improving efficiency. TCL has launched the Little Blue Wing P7 Ultra, its first smart health air conditioner powered by the OpenHarmony operating system. The 1.5HP wall-mounted model is priced at 5,999 yuan ($852) and features advanced AI-driven technologies focused on sleep quality, air purification, and energy efficiency.

At CES 2026, Samsung Electronics will showcase its latest AI-powered home appliances designed around practical, everyday use. The company says its focus this year is on combining AI-based personalization with strong hardware performance, allowing appliances to adjust automatically to user habits with minimal manual input. The spotlight will be on Samsung’s 2026 Bespoke AI lineup, covering laundry, garment care, air conditioning, and robotic cleaning. The show will be held in Las Vegas, between January 6 to January 9.

The updated Bespoke AI Laundry Combo is positioned as a faster and more efficient all-in-one washer and dryer. Samsung has shortened wash-to-dry times by upgrading both washing and drying systems. The Super Speed cycle uses a high-pressure Speed Spray that improves detergent penetration and speeds up rinsing. Drying performance is improved through a newly added Booster Heat Exchanger. To prevent odor buildup after wash-only cycles, Auto Open Door+ automatically opens the door and activates internal air circulation once washing is complete.

The AI Wash & Dry+ system has also been refined. Multiple sensors measure load weight, detect soil levels in real time, and identify five fabric types, including Outdoor and Denim. Based on this data, the machine automatically adjusts water usage, detergent levels, and cycle settings. If a special care cycle such as the Blouse Cycle is selected on the Laundry Combo, the same option is automatically queued on the AirDresser. The refreshed design includes a One Body Door and a 2.8-inch LCD screen.

For climate control, Samsung is introducing the Bespoke AI WindFree Pro Air Conditioner. The unit uses three blades instead of one, allowing airflow to be directed in multiple ways. The Triple Motion Wings enable seven wind modes, including Max Wind for 15 percent faster cooling, Surround Wind for even airflow, Long Reach Wind that pushes air twice as far, and Down Wind that directs cool air downward quickly. Radar-based AI Direct and Indirect Wind detects user presence and adjusts airflow direction automatically.

The air conditioner also includes AI Fast & Comfort Cooling, which analyzes temperature, humidity, and room size to select the most suitable cooling mode. Based on usage patterns, it switches between Fast Cooling, WindFree comfort, and Dry Comfort. An AI Energy Mode monitors usage behavior and external conditions to reduce compressor fluctuations, lowering energy use by up to 30 percent.

Completing the lineup is the Bespoke AI Jet Bot Steam Ultra robot vacuum. Powered by a Qualcomm Dragonwing processor, it uses deep learning-based AI Object Recognition to detect humans, cats, dogs, cables, and rugs. AI Liquid Recognition allows the robot to detect liquid spills and decide whether to clean or avoid them based on user settings. Upgraded Easy Pass Wheel technology lets the robot climb thresholds up to 2.4 inches.

According to newly revealed Q2 2025 data, the company has officially locked in the No. 3 position in China’s online air conditioner market, capturing a 16.2% market share and inching dangerously close to Gree’s throne.

The monthly breakdown paints an even more dramatic picture. In April, Xiaomi held a modest 14.25% share. By May, it surged to 17%, nearly overtaking Gree, which dipped to 17.16%. June saw a slight pullback for Xiaomi to 16.5%, but Gree didn’t capitalize much, ending the quarter at 17.27%. Midea remains ahead with a comfortable lead, but its share is slowly receding from 23.45% in April to 22.18% in June.

Hisense has launched the Deep Sleep Fresh Air Conditioner X3 Plus in the Chinese market. The product is now available for reservation on JD.com at a launch price of 2,499 yuan ($348).

The X3 Plus is a smart air conditioning unit designed to improve indoor air quality and sleep comfort. It is officially recognized as the Global Official Air Conditioner of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup. The air conditioner supports a large fresh air intake of up to 60m³/h, which allows it to introduce oxygen-rich outdoor air while expelling indoor air pollutants. Hisense claims this system helps reduce indoor CO₂ levels and can extend deep sleep duration by up to 15%.

Xiaomi is expanding its smart home ecosystem yet again, this time with a new addition to its climate control lineup. The company has quietly launched the Mijia Super Energy-Saving 2HP Floor-Standing Air Conditioner, now listed on JD.com for 3799 yuan (around $530). It officially goes on sale on July 10.

It’s now available for pre-order on Xiaomi Youpin for 7,999 yuan (around $1,100), and it’s clearly aimed at people who want a sleek, modern air conditioning solution that doesn’t compromise on performance or smarts.

Built for mid-sized homes or apartments (roughly 40–50 square meters), this ducted system is designed to disappear into your ceiling with a slim 198mm profile. It fits cleanly into most layouts, so there’s no bulky hardware messing with your interior design.

But the Mijia AC Pro isn’t just about looking good — it’s also seriously efficient. It’s rated at the top-tier energy efficiency level (APF 4.35), which Xiaomi says could save you up to 2,389 kWh a year, translating to about 1,195 yuan ($164) in reduced electricity bills. Inside, it’s got a dual-cylinder compressor for better reliability over time, along with a dual-row condenser and three-row evaporator system designed for faster, more effective cooling and heating. Heat exchange is handled by 7mm copper tubes and aluminum fins — the kind of stuff you’d expect from higher-end units.

Naturally, it’s fully integrated into Xiaomi’s smart home ecosystem. Xiaomi has just unveiled its latest home appliance in the Chinese market, the Mijia Gentle Breeze Floor-Standing Air Conditioner 3HP. It’s set to hit store shelves on March 25, priced at 5,599 yuan ($772), with pre-orders already open on JD.com.
