The new smartwatch is packed with premium features including health tracking, satellite-based navigation, and smart voice functionality. The Amazfit Active 2 Square comes with a modern square dial featuring a 1.75-inch AMOLED display protected by sapphire glass, enclosed in a stainless steel frame. With a peak brightness of up to 2,000 nits and an ambient light sensor, the screen remains visible even in direct sunlight.

On the health front, the smartwatch integrates the new BioTracker 6.0 PPG sensor with dual LEDs and five photodiodes for better accuracy. It includes advanced health metrics like daily readiness scores, HRV-based recovery insights, and menstrual and hormonal tracking via the Wild.AI app. For outdoor activities, the watch supports offline maps and turn-by-turn navigation powered by five satellite systems.

In terms of fitness features, users get access to over 160 workout modes, including the HYROX Race Mode. The smart strength training function detects reps, sets, and rest periods automatically. Zepp Flow enables voice commands, while Android users can reply to messages using voice or a built-in keyboard. Other convenient features include a barometer, calendar alerts, alarm controls, and up to 10 days of battery life.

The Amazfit Active 2 Square is priced at Rs 25,999 but will be available at an introductory price of Rs 12,999 during the Prime Day sale from July 12 to 14. Early access starts July 10 for Prime members. It will be available online and in select offline stores.

Unlike the regular Active 2, Amazfit brings the Active 2 Square sports a square 1.75-inch AMOLED display with rounded corners. This screen also offers 2000 nits of peak brightness, 390×450 resolution, and Sapphire glass for protection. The panel is surrounded by polished stainless steel, and there are multiple strap variants that can shift its aesthetic from sporty to more elegant depending on your outfit.

You get the latest BioTracker 6.0 sensor along with a gyroscope, ambient light sensor, barometer, and accelerometer. It runs on the Zepp OS 4.5 with Zepp Flow AI voice assistant. There are various health related trackers for heart rate, SpO2 blood oxygen, stress, and skin temperature monitoring. For fitness enthusiasts, the Active 2 Square gets support for more than 160 workout modes. Other notable features include GPS support, Bluetooth 5.2 with built-in mic and speaker for Bluetooth calling, and 5ATM water resistance.

Amazfit claims that the Active 2 Square can last for up to 10 days with typical use on a single full charge, which might drop to 5 days with heavy use, and 21 hours with GPS enabled. The Amazfit Active 2 Square has leaked ahead of its official release. Listings on Walmart and Celcom Mexico have revealed images and key details of the new smartwatch, expected to launch in June 2025.

The Active 2 Square Premium will feature a 1.75-inch AMOLED display with a 390 x 450 resolution. It has a stainless steel bezel, two buttons, and sapphire crystal glass for screen protection. The watch comes with two straps, one leather and one silicone. It measures 43.2 x 36.9 x 9 mm and weighs 31.4 grams.

The watch is expected to include the same BioTracker 6.0 PPG biometric sensor found in the round Active 2 Premium. It will support over 160 sports modes and use the PulsePrecision heart rate tracking algorithm. The battery capacity is 260 mAh, with a claimed battery life of up to five days with heavy use.

It is not yet confirmed whether this model will include NFC for contactless payments. It’s also unclear if a standard version of the Active 2 Square will be released alongside the Premium version.

The existence of the Square variant was previously hinted at when the round model was referred to as the “Active 2 (Round)” and when the Square version briefly appeared on a Zepp security page.

There is no official global pricing yet. For reference, the Amazfit Active 2 Premium (Round) is priced at $129.99 on Amazon.
