The Amazfit Active Max makes a strong first impression with its 1.5-inch AMOLED display that delivers rich colors with a 480 x 480 resolution, and up to 3,000 nits of peak brightness for outdoor visibility. This screen is protected by 2.5D tempered glass that also has an anti-fingerprint coating. The body combines aluminium alloy and polymer materials and carries a 5 ATM water-resistance rating, making it suitable for workouts or rainy days.

Weighing around 39.5 grams (without the strap) and measuring about 48.5 x 48.5 x 12.2mm, the Active Max balances a solid on-wrist feel with comfort for all-day wear. It also includes a built-in speaker with a mic that brings Bluetooth calling (with Bluetooth 5.3 LE support) and runs on the ZeppOS 5 platform. A standout selling point of the Active Max is its robust battery performance, supported by a 658mAh cell that can last up to 25 days under typical usage. This falls to around 13 days with heavy usage and down to just 64 hours with GPS tracking enabled.

Other notable features include over 170 sport modes, Zepp Coach, offline maps, SpO₂, sleep, stress tracking and BioCharge energy monitoring. The Amazfit Active Max has launched in the Indian market for Rs 15,999, being available via Amazon India and the brand’s official website.

One of the standout features is the large 658mAh battery pack. The brand claims that it can offer up to 25 days of battery life in a single full charge.

While this is under ideal conditions, the global release has revealed that this figure falls down to just 64 hours with GPS tracking enabled. The Active Max isn’t just about battery endurance; it also packs a suite of biometric sensors and outdoor tracking tools that help actively monitor your workouts. The smartwatch supports more than 170 sports modes, intelligent strength training detection, and advanced heart rate, SpO₂, stress monitoring, and BioCharge energy scoring to give users insights into their overall readiness and recovery.

Amazfit will release this model with Bluetooth calling, with support for Bluetooth 5.3 LE for both Android and iOS devices. The popular wearables maker’s new smartwatch sports a 1.5-inch circular AMOLED display that is capable of delivering up to 3,000 nits of peak brightness. It supports automatic brightness adjustment, allowing improved readability even in direct sunlight or during outdoor workouts. The Amazfit Active Max is relatively light on the wrist, weighing around 39.5 grams (without the strap). Its body combines aluminum and polymer along with a 5 ATM rating, so it can withstand around 50 meters of water pressure for up to 10 minutes.

One of the main selling points of the Active Max is its extended battery life. Amazfit claims users can expect up to 25 days of typical use on a single charge. This falls to around 64 hours with GPS tracking enabled. Users also get access to topographic maps, ski maps, and more. There is a built-in microphone and speaker, allowing for Bluetooth calling. Under the hood, it packs 4GB of internal storage that lets users house music and podcasts.

Amazfit’s Active Max supports more than 160 sports modes, including running, gym workouts, and more. It also has automatic pausing and can create basic routes for your runs. The smartwatch supports Strava, Adidas Running, and other health apps, along with support for the brand’s Zepp app for better controls. Amazfit only introduced the Active 2 earlier this year, but it looks like the company has another model lined up before the year’s end.

A new leak from well-known tipster Roland Quandt has given us an early look at what appears to be the Amazfit Active Max, including renders and most of the core specifications.

As you can see, the watch has a round dial with minimal display bezels and two buttons on the side. According to the leak, the Active Max will feature a 1.5-inch OLED display with a 480 x 480 pixel resolution. 

The battery is where the biggest upgrade seems to be. The Active Max is rumored to house a 576mAh cell, the largest we’ve seen in the Amazfit Active lineup so far. And given that Amazfit’s proprietary OS already squeezes a solid 7-day endurance out of the 270mAh battery in the Active 2, it’s safe to expect an even longer runtime on the Max model.

Quandt also notes that it will feature a 50-metre water resistance rating. You can also expect standard connectivity options like Bluetooth 5.3, onboard GPS, and NFC. The watch will have 4 GB of internal storage for music or app data. 

As for pricing, Quandt reports that Amazfit may launch the device at €169.90 in Europe. If Amazfit follows its usual pattern, a U.S. launch price of around $169.99 seems likely.

Amazfit hasn’t announced a launch date yet, but Qunadt likely pulled these details from an early retail listing. If that’s the case, the official debut probably isn’t too far off.
