Amazfit has launched its Active smartwatch in the Indian market, with sales starting today. The smartwatch was globally unveiled in October last year.

Pricing and Availability:

It offers a variety of colors such as Midnight Black, Petal Pink, and Lavender Purple to suit different tastes. The Midnight Black and Petal Pink models are priced at Rs 12,999, while the Lavender Purple variant costs Rs 13,999. Customers can buy it from Amazon India, the brand’s official website, and selected physical stores.

Amazfit Active Specifications:

The smartwatch features a 1.75-inch HD AMOLED display with a resolution of 450 x 390 pixels and a screen density of 341ppi. It also has durable 2.5D tempered glass for a sleek look. Powered by ZeppOS 2.0 and supporting Bluetooth 5.2, it ensures a smooth connection with smartphones.

It allows Bluetooth calling through an in-built microphone and speaker, so users can make and receive calls on their wrist. The watch includes Amazon Alexa for voice commands and questions. It comes with health and fitness tracking capabilities, including a BioTracker 3 PPG biometric sensor for monitoring blood oxygen levels, heart rate, and stress. Following the global release, Amazfit is gearing up to launch the Active smartwatch model in the Indian market soon. The wearable is set to go on sale on 10th February 2024 and has officially been announced in the region. So here are all the details.

The Amazfit Active model will be available for purchase in multiple color options, namely Midnight Black, Petal Pink, and Lavender Purple. It has a price tag of 12,999 INR and will be sold in the market via Amazon India, the brand’s official website, and select offline stores.

While the earlier teaser didn’t reveal finer details regarding the smartwatch, the latest announcement has confirmed its official launch date.

Amazfit Active India Launch Date

The company has officially revealed that the Amazfit Active smartwatch will be announced on 10th February 2024. The Indian release follows after the global market launch alongside the Amazfit Active Edge. This model is set to launch with the AI powered Zepp Coach that provides personalized fitness advice. This integrates advanced technology with everyday health and fitness activities.

The smartwatch features a sleek design, weighing just 24 grams without the strap. It sports a 1.75-inch AMOLED display that offers 450 x 390 pixel resolution. After unveiling the Amazfit Active smartwatch on AliExpress earlier this month, the brand has now officially launched the smartwatch on its global website. Along with the Active, the brand has also debuted the Amazfit Active Edge smartwatch. Keep reading to learn more about their details.

The Amazfit Active features a square dial, and it’s quite lightweight, just 24g without the straps, likely due to its plastic housing. There’s a button on the right side for easy control.

The smartwatch boasts a 1.75-inch AMOLED display with a 450 x 390 pixel resolution. The display covers 73% of the front and has a curved finish. It’s also said to be water-resistant, and able to handle depths of up to 5 ATM. The battery can last up to 14 days, but if you use the GNSS location feature continuously, it will be 16 hours less.

On the other hand, the Amazfit Active Edge is a round-shaped wearable with a sturdy design, resistant to water up to 10 ATM, and it can last up to 16 days with regular use. It features a 1.32-inch LCD screen with a 360 x 360-pixel resolution and comes in three color options: Lava Black, Midnight Pulse (gray), and Mint Green.

Both of these smartwatches can monitor your heart rate and SpO2 levels and track various exercises with over 120 sports modes. They also offer GPS tracking with support for five satellite systems and include the Zepp Coach AI workout assistant, along with popular fitness apps like Adidas Running, Strava, and Komoot.

Price & availability

The Amazfit Active is available for purchase worldwide at the Amazfit store and various retail partners, priced at $149.99. As for the Amazfit Active Edge, it’s now available in the US for $139.99, and the company has plans to introduce it to other markets in the near future.

Zepp is gearing up to release the Amazfit Active and Active Edge smartwatches in a few days. An official teaser image shared on the company’s official X (formerly Twitter) account hints that the two models will be released on October 25. The two upcoming Amazfit smartwatches have been the subject of speculation lately ahead of their official unveiling. Although there is no official statement yet, the teaser image seems to be definitive of the October 25 launch.

Expected Features

The Amazfit Active and Active Edge teaser image was shared by Zepp Health on social media. Two Amazfit models were listed in Tiendamia, a Brazillian e-commerce platform. The listings seemingly matched the Zepp Health teaser. The teaser image showed the outline of two models – one square and one round. The accompanying text on the teased image was “Get Ready” and “Get Active”. This has led to speculation on the names of the models expected to be released on October 25.

The Amazfit Active has a rectangular design while the Amazfit Active Edge is circular. Both models support the AI fitness Zepp Coach and also come with Training Templates for a personalized workout schedule. They support GPS tracking with five satellite positioning systems covered.
